but omg how I'm ADDICTED. James and Ken are amazing. Boss as an actor is my favorite. the little nuances he adds to James's character make all the difference between just a character to an actual human being I have fun laughing at the little chuckles or get emotional cause he does it so well.

not me theorizing Chita as a Nour or a past Nour that someone one tried to kill and now he doesn't have the powers of nour anymore 🫠
he's so suspicious for me like, I need to know what happened to your leg cause for me that's a Nour's thing, accident or not.
I also think Jirat knows more about what's happening than he's showing but idk.
both are suss. can't feel for their relationship or trauma cause I don't relate to them at all and also don't trust them.

if this was your first bl that's great on one hand and a bit unfortunate on the other, becaouse there aren't many with this kind of dinamic.
here are some you might like:
Chosen Home - also focus more on feelings than lust (personally I don't see it as a bl but a queer show with an lgbtq+ awarness alongside found family and life.)
Old Fashion Cupcake - also with Takeda Kohei (Azuma's actor) and is one of my favorite, storywise and acting wise (tho it really follow a common path I think they delivered it in a fun and uniqe way.)
Our Dining Table - so wholsone and cute and the kid absolutely stole the show.
The Eighth Sense - it's korean, and also my personal favorite. skipped the gay panic and just let themselves be. also good representation of mental health.
Let Free the Course of Taekwondo - also one of my favs. superb acting and amazing plot. very angsty and frustrating but soo good.

I also want to add that the dynamic you mentioned (girly\masculine) is more common in Thai bls. from my expirience I found that J-bls are less on this trope, thoug I might be wrong cause I tend to overlook these things. but it is veeery common in thai bl.

I don't think he's an 'emotional sadist' but I do think he got some issues to resolve with himself and until he do that there can't be a healthy relationship between them (or maybe that's your definition to emotional sadist.)
I also think sometimes people actually need a feedback from a relatively unrelated source to understand better a situation.

then again, didn't watch ep 9 yet so I might think different after that.

I don't know what's the actual meaning, but smokey blue is the color of the sky at the early morning. the sun is about to rise and the sky is quite, pale and serene. it's the calmest part of the day, before life starts going, and for me this series feels like this. calm, like the sun is too sleepy to brighten the sky to a full daylight. it's almost there but not yet.
then there's the rain, which represent the unexpected change in the weather (life) and after that the sun has finally risen (I hope it will because right now we're quite far from that...)

"it's not a confessio... it's a report." yeah sure. of course it's a report with the none existing response Azuma got from Kuji. like, how dense a man can be to other people (and his) feelings -_-
don't get me wrong, I love their relationship, but not because the comfort and the easy-going vibe. there is nothing comforting about two people in a relationship with one pushing (or at leat trying to get any emotional feedback) and the other constantly not giving a clear respons. this is not comforting. this is frustraiting af.
and yet I love their relationship, storywise.

I made the mistake of watching the first episode and now I'm hooked -_-

it's a series about gay's life in Japan - the difficulties and how different people choose to deal with them. the vibes are very wholsome but chaotic (great found family trope) and the cast is great. it's not your typical bl (I don't consider this as one) but there is a gay couple in the middle. personally I adore this drama and how it feels slightly educational for us outsiders that don't really know this 'world'.
can't think of a good comparision but can reccomend you watch the first ep and decide for youself (just finished it so it's still fresh in my mind and I loved every second~)

I feel bad for giving it only 7.5 but as I watched it after reading half through the manga I really feel they picked all the wrong spots to delve into.
there is so much more background and feelings and conflict then they show in the movie that first of all - why a movie? why not a series? give us some of the huge background of the characters (family, friends) instead of exes.
it was good, but it laked so much in means of feelings and exploring those feelings and give the viewers a chance to feel with them. the scenes were cut short and the flashbacks was partly unnecessary (which is a shame because I love how it's done in the manga.)
best thing I can say is I had so much fun watching it with friends, probably more than if I'd watched it alone. it's a nice movie, but I think even watchers who didn't read the manga can feel something is missing.

it's going to take all of my willpower not watch it the moment it's released cause I have a watch-together the day after. no social media for me on Thursday 🫡

this show could be so much better but at the same time the amount of unrealistic-ness is actually what made me keep watching 'till the end. so bad it's good, something like that. (still, could be much better. the script and direction did it very bad...)

also, anyone knows where can I watch the censored version? one of the reasons I stopped is there were so many nc scenes and it was a bit too much for me :\
