Because it was unsubbed, I just skimmed this (continually forwarding the video by 10 seconds) and watching in full some scenes that looked interesting. While I found the "porn video scene" (which is very funny, especially Nino) I never hit on the "bong scene" though. Is it possible the "bong scene" got censored at some point? Or, does anyone know a rough time stamp for the "bong scene".
Just finished this. Racy wish-fulfillment shoujo with a dom/sub dynamic going on plus the "high school debut-makeover" trope, NOT to be taken seriously and story didn't even make all that much sense in the end. (But maybe the manga was the better version and this adaption was too compressed. ) There's a love triangle which was pretty much identical to HYD. Here's what I liked: Kenty in his rapey, tsundere moments and the sweetly done piano-playing scenes with Satie's Gymnopédie No. 1.
I've been watching this, for Japanese listening practise, from season 1 because it's currently on Viki (in 2024). Tbh I'm getting a little bit tired of Kotoko's over the top character, although the young actress does a fine job and it's based on a manga after all. BUT all the guys in this are SO great, starting with the actor who is perfectly cast as the cool, aloof Naoki. I also liked the scornful little brother, the two nursing student male friends and every scene with Yuki Yamada.

Maybe this is weird but I found myself identifying too much with the teacher in CN, and it left me feeling a bit depressed and I regretting watching it. OTOH MNJ was an over the top rollercoaster ride of unlikely plot developments. I couldn't take it too seriously and I mostly enjoyed all the twists and turns. (Favourite scene: the public confession in the school assembly. ) I also liked the way almost every character in MNJ, including the sensei, was somewhat flawed.

After just watching 2 eps I can tell mls mom is weird in some way
Son complex. Also Hikaru has his moments of seeming like a mother con. I don't think it's a coincidence that Michi and Hikaru's mum look and dress a bit alike.

I think that it was just an illusion or a wake up dream. Otherwise, his reaction would have been to call someone…
Oh no! You're probably right. The happy ending was a dream.

So ... this was a love at the first sight ? The mini accident from the first episode was the beginning of feelings…
I think it was love at first sight. The moment when the kid, who belatedly took off his helmet, held out her engagement ring, she was instantly lovestruck. I've read a few teacher/student romances where the couple first become attracted without realising the age and occupation of the other, until one of them turns up at school. It's a trope. Also Michi is shown to be rather careless in the beginning, eg. always borrowing cash from and not repaying her mother, drunkenly ordering a second bottle of wine, telling lies etc.

I don't like this kind of relationship, but this is sth rare, an older woman and a younger guy. Usually you see…
And not just their ages. I thought the height difference, with the kid being shorter than the teacher, was unusual too!

Love the drama, watched it in one sitting. I adore concept of forbidden love cus it's innocent, warm and touching.…
I agree. Michi's mother was the only unflawed character.

Japan was ahead of this trend.Or was it because of the whole Mary Kay Letourneau mess this drama came about? Who…
2024 and the female teacher/male student relationship situation seems to have gotten way worse.

Excellent drama!! A " taboo forbidden " romance that not even USA has the " guts ' to do, much…
I don't think these sorts of taboo stories are that popular in the West. Europe maybe.

Just finished this, what a true rollacoaster of a show, unlike many other Japanese dramas I feel. It's also one…
I thought every single character was flawed, with the possible exception of Michi's mother. Also we see a lot of character growth by most of them by the end.

For those wondering about the ending, it is left up to you whether she woke up or it was an illusion, dream, or…
Oh no really? It might have been his dream? Damn. They used this device (happy ending is really probably a dream) in the movie Captain Fantastic, but I want to believe Michi really woke up.

I know this is two years later, but every time Michi tries to tell the fiance, he runs off or makes an excuse…
In GOW the older woman, the poetry teacher, who was also very pretty, had been badly bullied (by jealous female delinquent students) and is trying to recover from a nervous breakdown caused by the bullying. The school hadn't done anything to protect the teacher. I watched this movie with a Japanese person who explained it's not uncommon in Japan for teachers to be seriously bullied like this (although I find it hard to believe.)

Spoil the ending for me pls
Nope 100% happy ending. Apart from the gas station job, we see him attending a cram school, preparing to do the university entrance test. He visits her in hospital one day, and tells her unconscious, no longer pregnant body (they lost the kid) that he's planning to study medicine so he can cure her in the future, but then she miraculously wakes up from her coma. Song plays. Fin. Edit: after reading many comments, I think the happy end was probably just Hikaru's dream. In fact, Michi might have even died. It's the viewer's interpretation.
