Yes. This was how it ‘s supposed to convey when I read the novel. You’re able to put it in such great detail…
thanks for the perspective! i am re-watching it too atm and am seeing little little things that pulls the story together. btw, keep 'em coming! always enjoy it.

I'll keep it simple.1) This is a drama adaptation of a novel loved by a lot of Gu Man fans.2) Gu Man was the sole…
agree that it is a novel dream come true especially when like @AvidVNTraveler , I myself have read the book countless times. I gave it a high score not just cos I love the novel and its adaptation but due to everything that came together to make it a great drama. the production, the actors (in terms of bringing the characters to life and not just looking good), the cinematography, the screenwriting, the small little details and continuation in the drama, etc. each to their own, however in my book it deserves the highest rating.

Just putting this out there for the newcomers:THIS ADAPTATION OF THE NOVELIST, WHO IS ALSO THE SOLE SCRIPTWRITER…
spot on! am glad that Gu Man is the screenwriter and that the adaptation is of the novel and not randomly re-writing it to suit the general pov.

the drama follows the novel to the tee ( especially the important lines that make up the novel) and yes the epilogues…
totally in agreement on your comment :) abt the "love letters" ikr LMAO I find that its unique although I might have a headache trying to understand it myself LOL. different people have different ways of expressing or showing love. and yes, you couldn't not have explained it better why we need those chapters/episodes on YT. also IMHO I do feel if it doesn't follow the novel then no point calling it You Are My Glory cos it all started with the novel.

where did you watch it with subs?
yups, super glad that the drama stuck to the novel itself.

Why are some people so pressed about the product endorsements or if Tencent or any other company paid for promotion?…
Yah, like it or not, product placements (unfortunately) are a must for most dramas to bring in the money so that the drama will have more investments. Some are done tastefully but some are just in your face and oh so funny tbh.

You know what?I think you're totally missing out if you haven't read the novel in its entirety. If you lack patience…
the drama follows the novel to the tee ( especially the important lines that make up the novel) and yes the epilogues are the best LOL I read the novel countless times and even I find the few chapters after YT reject JJ a bit slow but its part of the novel and necessary to make the novel whole. the part where he ended up writing her letters, just sweet. can't wait for next week. am so going to binge-watch once the drama finishes airing.

You know why this drama is fresh and beautiful? Gu Man! I have finally read the novel and this drama is almost…
Yes! her novels are great but I love this one the most. And yes, the lines from the novel, are so significant that the drama cannot do without it :) I have read it countless times and whenever I hear it on the drama, I get goosebumps :)

a fan of YY and tbh when I first watched Love O2O, I did think he seemed a bit stiff but it was not to the extend…
yups lol. I do wonder if it is because he is or was a dancer, so it seems it's pretty much ingrained in his body to be a certain posture. but boy oh boy his personality is another thing altogether LOL you would think this guy is quiet and aloof but actually, he is funny and clumsy lol

I really dont understand what you guys mean by stiff. Do you mean he doesnt move his face that much? That he doesn't…
a fan of YY and tbh when I first watched Love O2O, I did think he seemed a bit stiff but it was not to the extend of omg I cannot watch this. Then I watched The King's Avatar - sure he started out brooding but you begin to see how much more animated Ye Xiu actually is. I don't feel being funny in acting means you have to do it TikTok style but a flick of the eyebrow or eye can also indicate and give out a funny feeling. And now with YAMG, he is even better at giving out the feeling of the character without being OTT. Then again this is my pov :) I like Reba and she does have a natural flair when it comes to bright, cheerful characters like JingJing. Anyways, I have said before in my previous posts that the two are just my imagination of JingJing & Yutu from the novel that came true. PS: I do wonder if sometimes YY is being perceived as stiff due to his body posture? that may give out the vibe.

I don't think you need to point it's like they need to endure it. Actually as much as I remember there were much…
Agree! I read the novel and there were more games scenes being described compare to the drama. In the drama itself, I felt the game part is more like a guest role whereas, in the novel, it feels more of a support role. If that makes any sense.

Yes I have noticed it and his eyes are so expressive. I don't know why nobody is seeing that his eye expression…
I am with the both of you. It's just that "feel" you catch between the two leads, could be the way they interact, the way they steal looks, the way they talk, etc but necessary physical.

edit: also want to add, when you just forget that they are YY & 88 but Yutu & JingJing then yups, it's all good!

i guess there will always be complaints regardless how good a drama can be. like you said, i am also super thankful…
I think it's really awesome of you to do that and if it doesn't work, you've tried and that's already good enough in my book :) sometimes it's hard to change people's minds once they have set a certain mindset to it. perhaps in the latter part of the drama, it might be different.

I am trying to console those who find the games portions given way too much airtime. Those who love the games…
i guess there will always be complaints regardless how good a drama can be. like you said, i am also super thankful that this drama is airing (cos i love the novel) and regardless of whether good or bad, i love it! nothing is perfect after all ;)

read it a few times too and yes I totally agree with the both of you that although yes it's a romance novel but it's not all fluff. that's why i love it. as much as i love c novel troupes but a novel like this to me, is a dime in a dozen. it is so relatable.
