was it filmed years ago? that's a bummer! i don't usually watch recasted stuff. it's too weird watching someone new play the same character in a main role. and i was loving huang jun jie's... presence. so good looking! lol. i can be shallow sometimes. =P

but yeah, a lot of chinese dramas have lots of issues with various things.

i'm not sure. but the chinese posters all say season 1 on them. so i assumed they were planning a season 2. otherwise why label it season 1?

small rant ~ i'm still on episode 26, so i haven't been reading the comments below, but all the characters are frustrating me. i'm biased cuz i like riley wang. so why is it called choice husband as if it's a choice between the 2 guys, when it seems as if he was never given any chance at all? and for the last several episodes, i'm thinking it would be best if the FL just dropped both of them. lol

but seriously, even though riley is often given "main role" title, he's hardly ever the top male lead. in song of the moon he's a "bad guy" and in choice husband, he plays 2nd fiddle to the other dude. i think riley is better looking than xing zhao lin (fans of him, don't come at me). riley needs more 1st male lead roles. like in i hear you with zhao lusi & in first romance with wan peng.

cool, thanks! i'm not a huge fan of s1's FL. and i wanted to check out s2 for wang an yu. but he's only a supporting character, so i didn't want to watch an extra 41 episodes if i could just skip it. lol.

did you watch the first go go squid? do i have to watch that one first in order to watch this 2nd one? are they directed related? or just some of the same characters and can be seen individually without getting lost with what's going on?

how serendipitous! i've been wanting to watch the drama and finally got around to it a couple days ago. just finished it hours ago, then took a nap. woke up still thinking about it. decided to look up the movie and found out it's released in select u.s. theaters today! i can actually go watch it in a couple hours if i want to. ha! too bad i don't think i'm ready for an enclosed public gathering just yet. but what are the chances? same day release without knowing. what a weird coinkydink.

i think it was so hyped up because for a xian xia, the story was different and better than most other xian xia these days. and the male lead is easy on the eyes. ヽ(❤‿❤)ノ lol. i also really liked the music.

i used to love the song, first love! i even have this album from back in the days. lol. and when i heard it scrolling through netflix, i had to watch this drama. and to see that utada hikaru actually created the show instead of someone just randomly using the song cuz it's the same name. pretty cool. =D

i coulda used some more sweet moments though. satoh takeru is kinda charismatic. also, did anyone make it past the credits on the last episode? love bonus scenes that are unexpected. was that the only episode like that? do i need to check all the episodes now? lol.

why is it suspended until further notice??? i don't see how the death of whoever has anything to do with a web drama's broadcast.

i just came to check on the same thing. i was expecting 50 cuz MDL said so, but it ended on 49 on netflix. so i thought maybe there was a special. sometimes there's a link to that here. but i don't see anything.

in the middle of watching this. a couple of the songs they keep playing just make me long for the original taiwanese version. not really loving the portrayal of any of the characters in this version. only 2 things enjoyable so far are dylan and seeing little s. vic chou was a way better lei. and rainie a better xiao you.

omg, yes! i hate that there's so much about the boss & best friend. so don't care about them. and from reading all the comments, i'm not the only one. someone needs to re-edit the whole drama and put back deleted scenes of the mains and delete all the secondary characters' story. 😂

ahahaha! 😂 also true. but i've literally seen ALL her other dramas. and i kinda want to see where the story goes. at least for a few more episodes. curious to see how and why people support(ed) communism. always just assumed most commoners grew up with it and had no choice. and seeing how the brainwashing continues with a script like this...
but now also kinda creeped out that they might think international fans likes them! 😅

i don't watch shows with english subs. but i heard mango tv always use auto subs at the beginning. then after some time, they go in and do better subtitles. it just usually takes awhile if you're willing to wait.
