I'm at ep 9 the female police officer is annoying like why is she even in the team again
I think the female officer is here to provide clarity to the show. As we're watching it from the perspective of both Kyung Min and Jong Suk, we need an outsider to provide an overall view of the situation. Plus, it adds realism. She's a cop, and Jong Suk is a cop, she is only doing what they were supposed to be doing in the first place. She may seem annoying, but she's a much-needed character storytelling-wise.
Was Min Seok even a killer or just a dirty businessman? He only killed animals? The murderer was the nail psycho…
This also bothered me a lot, though they mentioned that it was a suicide, they were still looking for the accomplice, which meant the police already knew Min Seok didn't die from suicide.
People are flooding the comments saying it is similar to Big Mouth, however, I think you should understand first how different the two dramas are before watching Insider. I believe setting an expectation that they are similar dramas ruins the experience when you are watching Insider.
Big Mouth leans towards a comedic and cartoonish vibe. The characters are far more enthusiastic compared to the characters we are introduced to in Insider, while Big Mouth has romance and comedy every once in a while, Insider keeps everything dark.
A lot of people are saying that Insider has a difficult plot compared to Big Mouth, however, I don't think that that's the case. From what I understand, Insider tried to make things so much more complicated, the storytelling also doesn't help with it as it makes it feel so much more difficult.
Insider is a lot harder to digest compared to Big Mouth, if you're planning to watch it, I hope you take these things into consideration as this comparison ruined my experience with Insider.
