Song Xin Ran from SNH48 has a nice supporting role in this as the bff of Princess Bao Ning. I think she sings a couple of songs on the OST too. I hope to see her in a main role someday she is really cute and has a cute voice.
In the dramas with cross dressing I always find it kind of funny when they choose a super pretty FL who looks nothing like a boy no matter how they are dressed. Anyways, I liked this drama a lot and think they did a good job with the programming part. They didn't try to get technical down to the programming language level. Instead they kept it a simple workplace drama about developing online games. I also never have seen a movie or drama before where they mentioned "computer science" as many times as this one.
Just finished episodes 35 and 36 which were great. Happy to see that evil Gao lady get beat down again. Baoning and her Grandmother make a great team both very smart and she sure is one tough cookie. Yeah I know she passes from the trailers but we already know that she only has few days left by episode 36 because of the strong meds she is taking. As for Li Qian I'm sorry I'm with Baoning on this. How can you accuse a royal princess's family of this 20 years old crime with such flimsy evidence.

Hi, the ML finds out the FL is actually a girl in Ep. 31. And the FL and ML do end up getting married (just like in Korean version). The ML I think becomes the Governor, taking over the position his father had before.
Watched this drama for Yukee. I think she is very pretty and always looks good wearing red. I like her acting her expressions she is well suited to this kind of historical drama with some martial arts. The OST is very nice too esp. the song by Leo and the ending song ft. Charlie Zhou Shen.
This actually is one of my favorite dramas of Ju JingYi. It is funny, cute and while there's not much romance it gives good friendship vibes like most school dramas. I think it is a polished and timely remake of the original Korean version. The Korean drama was very good no question but it was like ten years ago and does look a bit dated now in terms of production and action scenes. This Chinese version keeps some major plot points like the archery competition and handles it well. I also like how at the end they reconciled the whole Wen Xi / Wen Bin thing.
Just finished watching all 55 episodes and it was amazing drama. I didn't know at first it was based on real history and only started this because of Jialuo actress I saw her in The Whirlwind Girl as Bai Cao and she was great in that. Legend of Dugu is really an adventure I feel like I've spent a lifetime with these characters seeing Jialuo first at age 16 and following until the end of her reign I think must be in her fifties. Some really sad heartbreaking scenes like eps 26 when Yuwen Yong behind a mask completes the marriage ceremony with Jialuo as a stand-in without her knowing about it. And eps 48 when Yuwen Hu finds out about his daughter with Banruo seeing the child grab hold of him from behind with tears streaming down such good acting from both.
The cdrama was the first drama I watched and I still think it is one of the best pure school drama ever. So when the kdrama came out for sure I was going to watch it no matter it was good or bad because I liked the cdrama so much. Now that I've finished all of it I can say it starts off pretty bad but it gets better by the end. The scene that stands out for me is the one where the ML is desperately trying to save the life of a patient in the ER.
My problem with the kdrama is with the casting of Shin Sol-i. I feel like they just wanted to find an experienced or known actress who is short and normally wears their hair short. It's like they gave the role to her immediately without a second thought and without doing any kind of search. However, whether you like it or not, the cdrama set a precedent with the casting of Shen Yue, a naturally cute, young fresh actress with very little acting experience at the time. Instead I feel the FL in the kdrama tried too hard to act cute in the highschool scenes but really failed at it because those scenes do not call for such overacting. It is far easier to be cute when you're 19 or 20 like Shen Yue was at the time instead of someone already past their mid-20s.
