I'm not sure about this one. The main storyline is cute though it definitely has its share of cliches. The support couple borders (actually far surpasses) cringe. I agree with others - maybe it's the lack of skill of the support actors, their individual looks, or the awkward interactions, but I have to physically force my hand away from the fast forward button every time they are on screen. I'm curious what the reception is in Taiwan to them.
I'll finish watching the series because the episodes are short, but I feel uncomfortable watching it at times.
I heard certain scenes at times were cut from shows for different streaming platforms. Does it happen very often? If so, I need to be more aware of which services I use.
I did some investigation on the lighting and color cinematography: https://www.reddit.com/r/boyslove/comments/tj8xky/color_and_lighting_symbolism_in_semantic_error/i1k67fy/?context=3…
Just finished it last week but now I need to watch again... :)
The show started out cute at first with Aoki's bumbling ways and had both it's cute and angsty moments, but around episode 8-9, I really started to dislike his over the top reaction to misunderstandings. I feel sorry for Ida who was just trying to feel his way through his first relationship as well. Without spoilers, the scene after the movie and ensuing tantrum and the main conflict in episode 10 along with Aoki's accusations were a struggle to watch.
For the side couple, I thought they were cute and enjoyed how Hashimoto and Aoki both fully supported each other throughout. Overall, it's a cute, quick watch but doesn't have any rewatch appeal for me.
I do agree with others. I started with the series, but the additional minutes at the end really wrap the story up nicely. Disappointing they didn't make it into the final episode. Overall a really sweet, unusual story with a great cast. My only dislike was Nishi Yuuki's appearance. His hair was unpleasant to look at and detracted from the otherwise nice visuals.
I get the setting of this one is similar to many others, but I really enjoyed this relatively short drama. The story was cute and the actors did a great job.
