The story wasn't even meant to be light hearted
I can agree with that. I kind of expect it whenever i see a live action and now i try to just watch it as a movie/show. There was this online novel that i was low-key obsessed with that came out with a live action. I was so excited... until i watched it. It was nothing like the novel. So i feel you, totally. I'm kind of glad i watched it first. I plan to go read it in the near future.

Could be. It happens all the time with live adaptations. Live adaptations are often a disappointment to novel fans. There isn't constant chaos, doesn't really toy with your emotions, and it'spretty mellow, especially in the beginning. The main character learns as he goes, gathers friendships and valuable team members, overcomes obstacles rather easily as they are introduced, nothing takes exceedingly long. The focus on their camaraderie and growth is what made it light hearted. Villains were introduced, then soon defeated, merely a tool used for explanation of growth.

Title The Wolf Spoiler
I can't get over the ml treatment of the fl for the majority of the show. Those sweet moments do not make up for…
Okay, major spoilers since I'm on the last episode. Warning! I'm pissed! Here fl is, daughter of this amazing general, who is utterly useless the entire drama. You know exactly who she's going to end up being pretty much at the start. They made that obvious. She is supposedly brilliant and the ma military respects her... but why? She has zero battle tactics, makes incredibly stupid descisions, useless in fighting, and persistinly oblivious and naive. Her character has zero growth throughout all these freaking 49 episodes. Tell me why then, at the very last episode, she is suddenly an amazing fighter able to fend off the groups coming at her. She was mediocre and constantly needed saving everywhere else she fought, but now she fights with precision? But don't worry, she quickly returns to stupid. No. Whoever wrote this script is a poor writer who isn't able to remember their entire story. Oh, and when the brother finally killed the king off and other brother started screaming "you killed my father!" Dude, you were locked up for literally doing the same damn thing! No sense, this story and writer makes no sense.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of ml or fl. He's a big scaredy cat for being such a badass, and she's just dumb when she's…
2nd ml is def the best part

Title The Wolf
I can't get over the ml treatment of the fl for the majority of the show. Those sweet moments do not make up for her horrible treatment, even if he'sdoing it for her own good. He is very weak for being someone so strong and cunning. Fl is very stupid for supposedly being so intelligent. Her character could have been so much better. I did love 2nd ml. The quality was good as well.

This was sooooo good! It's light hearted with action. I expected this to just be background noise and got sucked in completely.
