He has been in the industry for long time and is associated with xinli - the major shareholders in production house so him being the choice isn't surprising. Script should be improved more focused on fl, though no one knows how it will perform but once it follows the original novel results will be fantastic. We can only wait and see if rumors are true or not
As long as this drama reshoots doesn't matter who the male lead is, because this isn't a typical romance centric drama and actual novel is much much better than lost you forever. However production house and ex ml team ruined it. If reshooting rumor is true hope they delete unnecessary male lead scenes and bring back the original theme that is focused on female lead. In orginal novel the relation dynamics between fl and her fiance is much more interesting and actually tragic than ml so it'a worth looking forward to Moreover yangzi loved this role as much her lost you forever and ashes of love characters. We will see whether it's true or not after she finishes Cheng huanji.
I have to say I'm really enjoying hearing the actor's own voices.
It depends on several conditions May be the actor schedule is busy or director preferred VA because of diction. Haven't watched dw drama before so no idea whether he used original voice before or not. We got only handful of actors/actresses who use original voice in historical drama
Tonight episode was so good and heart wrenching, that scene with xiaoyao getting pierced was hard too watch and with yangzi top notch acting skills I was crying so bad 😭. Coming here all i see ship war sigh! Cast gave such an amazing performance focus should be on that . In the world of VA dubbing we are here getting actors using their own voice it's good for my ear and really uplifts the moments 😭

Let's talk about using, it's not like you didn't watched Qingshui town scenes, how many times XL physically abused her, how many times he used her but still she didn't despised him, scared of him yes!. But gradually we got to see some soft side of him which he only showed in front of Wen xiaoliu aka XY. XY also shared things which she never did with jing. They had special connection but they NEVER confessed especially xiangliu he was always cold to her. He is chenrong army general and xy enemy so chances was always impossible. In latest episode FFB tricked xiaoyao to make jing jealous even under guidance of Ffb she threw spade at jing which could have hurt him so do you consider this as using ? Regarding Xy using him didn't she apologized? In coming episodes yes xl will do things for xy but he will remain cold to her and will never let her know. She will never know so please don't scold her .I feel for xiangliu but slandering other characters is just not right. Really sad to see , i was a silent reader of this thread but I was really shocked by some comments here so created a new account. Those people who say they love Xiangliu definitely don't understand his character, he chose the path himself, and remain loyal to his country and one who adopted him. What Xiangliu did xiaoyao never knew and in yesterday episode they said xy was cold and indifferent I mean that's how exactly she is novel, beside few changes in character like xiangliu character never showed emotions in novel but here he did, probably done under guidance of team. Overall the team did brilliant casting. I am novel fan and yaoma but really enjoyed reading and watching drama and it's characters, it's faithful UNTIL NOW.

I don't know how people then harem drama and tonghua dramas are like this, it's shakes your emotions, hurts you be it scarlet heart, sound of desert where female lead loved more than 1 ml but not necessarily in romantic way. Please understand the characters first neither one is perfect and has some flaws. Isn't the story captivating enough, you can love and feel bad for your favourite characters but don't slut shame because no one here is that evil
