I love objective viewers, which is why I appreciate your take so much especially the part where you pointed out that the producers are experienced professionals. They've been producing dating shows for years, so they should know how to handle controversy without compromising the integrity of the show. It's their responsibility to make the show a success, not the cast members.
What I don't understand is the half-in, half-out approach they took with Gyuri. If they genuinely believed she shouldn't be part of the show, they should have edited her out completely. If they decided to keep her, then tell the story properly. Instead, they created an edit that left so many gaps that viewers were left trying to fill in the blanks themselves. That isn't good storytelling.
Sadly, some viewers have taken those edits as absolute truth and are attacking a real person with very serious insults, even though what we're watching is a heavily edited TV show. That's why I think producers have an even greater responsibility. They're experienced professionals they know how powerful editing can be, and they should use that responsibility wisely.

I wish there was more intelligence on social media. I love what you wrote, especially your last paragraph. It's nothing but the truth. Whether people want to admit it or not, Gyuri's popularity made the show what it was. Sadly, the producers and her haters refuse to acknowledge that.

I remember reading an interview where she shared that she was bullied. That trauma definitely matters. I just hope she's doing well and has a strong support system around her.

I literally dozed off watching yesterday's episode it was that boring. There was one scene where WY and YG were talking, while SW and SY were playing and chasing each other in the background. I found myself more interested in what was happening behind them than listening to the conversation. If the producers had balanced the screen time, it might have been fine. Instead, they expect us to sit through the same couple having 30-minute conversations over and over again. We're tired. We're bored.

They really did! Last season of match to marry had the same allegations and they cut off and never gave her a bad edit as opposed hs!

It appears they covered their backs to avoid any loss without any investigations and punished GY for it otjereise they would have given a statement!

She's no longer of any value to the producers. They used her to boost the ratings, then humiliated her with that ridiculous love triangle and gave her one of the worst edits possible. I'm sure the bird brains are having a field day with this.

Arrrggghhh! I'm so fed up with the WY GY/WY YG storyline. They've dragged it out for so long that the show has become boring, and there's no anticipation anymore. It's like the producers don't care that there are other cast members. Thank God there are only two episodes left.

You're entitled to feel how you feel. However, stop belittling YG. Is it a crime to be a college student? If anything, she's shown herself to be one of the most mature people this season. She handles misunderstandings and conflict with honesty and grace. Calling her an attention seeker doesn't match anything we've actually seen from her character.

YG slamming the door behind WY was comedy gold. Why is nobody talking about it? 😂

Unfortunately, what he did today is what he should've done a long time ago. Remember when he decided to pursue YG and started ignoring the other girls, including SY? Instead of leaving them hanging, he should've just been honest about how he felt. The same goes for the nickname date. It was one of the worst dates I've seen on a dating show because he still wasn't honest with GY. Set your boundaries, focus on your girl, and be clear. I'm just glad he finally did it so we can all move on. Hopefully, this also means no more GY bullying going forward.

She already ignored her gut in Episode 1 when it warned her about WY, and here we are. Secondly, she's always the one doing the chasing. After the TOD, she even told WY she was willing to understand him and wait for him without pressuring him. It's always her making the effort. 🙄

It depends on how you look at it i can't say its positive for YG unless the men are actively chasing her they usualy want her with words which is annoying. She needs a Jimin for heart pairing type of guy who goes all out for her. She's too sweet and beautiful she deserves that much.

We can now peacefully move on from WY and GY. It's been too exhausting. One thing I love about dating shows is that it teaches you more about yourself, including sides you never knew you had. I think GY will end up alone, which is better than leaving with someone just for the sake of it. WY and YG are obviously endgame. The producers are just toying with us by using JH. Now that GY is out of the picture, they can't fool me anymore. YG's body language is completely different when she's with WY. She's the one who always initiates and chases him. Now I want to see WY chase her for once. She's been the one doing all the work.

I've watched all the dating shows except from the japanese and no there's never been a case of a dangerous cast member!
