I can't believe that the Chinese film industry hasn't taken note of her and she will progress one day in that direction! In her various dramas bts she is seen taking an interest in how the cameras are filming and she has good ideas on how to stage a scene. I could also see her one day when much older being a producer or director, she is very insightful .

I really liked Love of a Thousand Years and thought she had amazing chemistry with the ML, Zheng YeCheng who is good looking. The ending was a bit meh, but still one that I rewatch now and again. Dating in the Kitchen is also good. The ML is not to everyones taste, but I thought he was very engaging, funny and paired well with Lusi.

LLTG is an epic production! It is what came up on my Youtube feed last year out of nowhere, and got me into Lusi and Cdrama which I wasn't aware of before. I was blown away by all the acting and the sets, but especially Lusi. She was magnetic on screen, her face showing her emotions and when crying, making me cry as well! Then I found LOATY and WRTW on Netflix and thought how could that be the same girl, she is amazing! Lusi is only a little thing but plays such sassy, stong characters which I love to see in FL's.

I am glad to hear this as I am not a fan of those types of dramas. Have never been able to get beyond 1 or 2 episodes. I am letting a decent amount of episodes of this to build up before viewing, as watching HL live on Youku became all consuming, waiting for a new episode every day!

I must add that on twitter during HL broadcast there was a lady in her 70's an ardent Zhao Lusi fan and loving HL. Plus numerous tweets about mothers, aunts etc gushing about Lusi! I do think she crosses all age ranges because of who she is!

And she takes an interest in what goes on when filming,as in her BTS stuff, when she tries her had at using a camera and how they work. I wouldn't be surprised in the future, when much older, to see her as a producer or director. Her experience and talent infront of the camera, understanding of how scenes should be shot, would make her invaluable behind.

Agree. I was enjoying before but Ep 10 seemed more like an advertisement for the Thai tourist board. Perhaps they paid for this episode! I hope it moves on from longing looks and furtive kissing!

I think Lusi is of such a high standard of acting now, with success in China and internationally, that any director will listen to what she has to say while filming a scene. CZY looked to her for advice on how to do things. I notice on variety shows they make fun of her (in a nice way) of being daft and not very bright because she is nervous, laughing and making mistakes. But she is highly intelligent and very savvy when it comes to business. She put her all into HL when it had problems at the start, and then promoted it and the CP like no other drama of hers I had seen before! Hence the success. She is one smart cookie!

The morning after is so good in the novel, I had been looking forward to that!

I think it is a very realistic drama showing a childs innocent admiration, then crush, turning to adult love. There are some funny bits, tearful bits and very very romantic bits. Plus a handsome, foxy, sexy ML and an adorable FL. It won't be to everyones taste and I have seen lots of comments about Lusi's voice in the drama putting people off. But she is portraying the FL as she is written in the novel and does a damn fine job of it. So give it a try and nobody on here would be offended if it wasn't for you. We all have our own tastes when it comes to Cdramas.

I am also waiting for Netflix to upload them all so I can watch on a bigger screen. In the meantime I am repeatedly watching Lusi in her Hello Saturday episode with Dylan Wang. Completely agree! There are a lot of highly rated dramas which I just don't like or get why they are so popular! They just don't float my boat. But that is fine, and if we all liked the same thing, life and Cdramas would get very boring.

Because I have paid for july on Youku I will watch When I fly To You, as by the same author as HL and has had very good reviews. Yes it is another school age romance but I will give it a try.
