Eleven episodes in and LJM is still pulling the same old dick move towards NM π€ The way he humiliates NM was really uncomfortable to watch. Also, any hopes for a nice, stable SML is gone with that big, unsubtle foreshadowing π
It's pretty divisive. Some people think it's great: slow burn gentle romance, kind of slice of life-y etc. Others…
Ah, got it. I'm up to ep 22 and I'm not a fan tbh. Compared to O&O this feels like your run of the mill C-Drama with its usual problems: bad writing and uninspired directing; no plot or substance. Acting wise everyone's doing their job, including the hot topic that is RJL (let's not go there) no one really stands out that much, but special note for Chi Sa/Mei Xing who's a little stiff but has that natural on-screen charm.
At this point I'm just watching it for Bai Lu and everything else is a bonus. As we're wrapping up the show I don't see it getting better, would love to be surprised but I wouldn't hold my breath. I will say tho that tonally the show is pretty consistent, so if you liked what you've seen you'd probably enjoy the rest of it.
I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholderβ¦.Shiyi was not offended when ZSC sheepishly let go of her hand…
The point isn't whether SY is okay with it or not, it's that him letting go of her hand doesn't make sense in the context of both the timeline and their relationship. Timeline wise they have held hands in public before and it's never been a problem. This happened in the previous episode: https://ibb.co/ZT68m9q Combine that and the context of their relationship (they're married > getting closer w/ each other > consummated the relationship), then there's no point for that scene to happen especially in that moment. If they really wanted the scene to exist it should've happened way earlier in the relationship. This is bad writing period.
Also, a character agreeing with another about a thing in the drama doesn't automatically make that thing makes sense. If in the next episode we're shown SY deep kissing ZSC in public and ZSC reciprocates, would the people who've been championing his shyness and awkwardness go, 'this is totally fine because ZSC's fine'? No, you'd be like wait, what happened, this makes no sense, etc. I know I would.
How is it going? It's on my pause list rn but how is it ππ
It's pretty divisive. Some people think it's great: slow burn gentle romance, kind of slice of life-y etc. Others think it's disappointing for a variety of reasons: bad writing, the lack of plot, intimacy issues, etc. Just watch the first 3-4 eps and if you can't vibe with it then just drop it, but if you liked it then congrats on finding a new drama to watch.
Why does it sound it's Allen Ren's fault for ZSC character sucks in FAE? I'm sure Allen did everything the writer…
It's not 100% his fault but he is part of the problem. What we're seeing here is the unholy trinity of weak script, bad directing, and *ahem* controversial acting choices.
I still can't believe that he lets go of her hand because *checks subtitles* there are many people here. π£ You are married π£ she is your wife π£ You have consummated your marriage (in the middle of the day!) Are we in the Song dynasty or what? This drama is wild.
There were whispers of it during Under the Power and it peaked during Miss Crow and Mr. Lizard because the fake…
We won't know until the dramas come out. I know Reba has done both chaste (The Long Ballad) and steamy-ish (Love Designer, YAMG) dramas so it could go both ways, but let's not get your hopes up.
