Please don't watch dramas continuously until you actually fall sick, due to lack of sufficient hydration or sleep. It has happened to me a few times already.
Otherwise, to take a break, I actually watch some English shows, just to switch up between different drama styles.
In some ways the 2 shows are really different too - The Notebook was taking a retrospective look at a relationship which already happened, and much of the romance lies in the way Noah was desperately holding on to any memory Allie had of their relationship. The stakes were higher in QIHM because the romance hadn't actually happened yet.
I hope he continues to take on high profile roles after the breakthrough role he had from Gaksital. Secretly Greatly was definitely a good movie to take but that movie had too many hot guys in it, it'd be hard for him to stand out.
I agree that What's Up is an amazing drama that is criminally underrated and underwatched. It would have made Jo Jung Seok a big star, even before The King 2 Hearts did. What's Up is like what Dream High could have been if it decided to take itself more seriously.
You're Beautiful and Dream High had such memorable OSTs because the music was such an important part of the story! As for Boys over Flowers, haha that OST was so overused and sometimes in the wrong ways. But I love it all the same.
I'm surprised that Shut Up Flower Boy Band was not mentioned. Every single song on that OST was good.
I'm not surprised Kim Hee Sun turned down a lot of roles. In the late 90s to early 00s she was the hottest actress…
I have not watched any of Moon Geun Young's shows. But one could consider that she became famous through Painter of the Wind, which is a historical drama. Goddess of Fire may be poor because of poor writing - purely speculating here.
I disagree that Han Ga In did a good job. I think she did a decent job but was not good enough.
I'm not surprised Kim Hee Sun turned down a lot of roles. In the late 90s to early 00s she was the hottest actress when it came to romantic melodramas.
As for Kim Ah Joong turning Coffee Prince for the shampoo contract, she may well have had to pay a very high penalty for breaching the contract which the salary for Coffee Prince might not have covered at all.
As for Han Ga In and Moon Geun Young in TMETS, Moon Geun Young might well have been a better choice. IMO Han Ga In didn't have the acting chops to match up to KSH, and KSH was so much younger than her.
not sure if i should watch this or not..
found this b/c of Kim Jae Won :d
Honestly, I would never trust the scores on MDL. It's easily to mindlessly give a score that may/may not mean anything. I'm just saying this generally since I haven't watched this show.
You forgot about the entire category of insane mother-in-laws who enjoy watching their sons' girlfriends suffer - so many I could name: Secret Garden, Boys over Flowers,

Also, President Jo and his son from Cruel City.
What I think contributes to such age gaps in Korean dramas is that there is a lack of top quality actresses in…
Did you say Suzy and Yoona are 'quite good' too? I'm sorry, but what have you been watching?
I agree on Eunji - she did well in Reply and That Winter, but I do think the characters she played in both shows are quite similar. I'd like to see more of her in different roles though. I also agree on UEE.
On Eunjung and IU, I only saw them in Dream High which I don't think is enough for me to come to a conclusion on them. As for the rest, I have not seen them so I reserve judgment.
Like I said, "some who can't act to save their skins". I did not say NONE of them had acting abilities. I'm saying that many idol actresses are really young and so when they're cast with experienced actors the age gap is huge.
How did Dream High 2 get on the runner up list for best dramas? And Queen of Ambition? Wasn't that like a waste of drama time? I guess some of our fellow international fans aren't very discerning in their drama tastes.
Otherwise, to take a break, I actually watch some English shows, just to switch up between different drama styles.
The Philip Lee example in Faith already given by other commenters is quite a good one.
Also, the most recent one I can recall is Goddess of Fire and Moon Geun Young's eye injury drama.
And who can forget the numerous car accidents that Boys Over Flowers actors got themselves into?
Flower Boy Ramyun Shop
Boys Over Flowers
...and like every other Korean drama ever
Chest binding bandages:
You're Beautiful
Coffee Prince
...and every other gender-bending drama
