The book was SO gripping. The FL is cunning and ruthless, the ML is almost villainous -- the ways they carry out their revenge and manipulations is so devious you will gasp. Even though I know a lot of the plot will be neutered for broadcast, I can't wait for this to finally air. Made it through about 5 episodes before giving up. Honestly, I'm shocked to see this fascistic fantasy has earned a 9/10 rating here.

Fictional criminals and villains have done literally nothing wrong, so I reserve my moral high horse for more pressing matters, like irl criminals and villains.

I could teach a class on this show, tbh.. It's even what inspired me to start learning the language! And the OST is gorgeous.

Please give it another chance! The drama is about people in a lowly state building each other up. It shows family and friends as a source of vulnerability but also strength. It's about how to lean on others to endure this harsh, unfair world, and how to find meaning and comfort when things seem meaningless and cruel. It's my all-time favorite drama and it doesn't get old no matter how many times I rewatch because it's so richly told. Please show My Mister a lot of love!
