It all depends on an individuals' perspective. There were Taoists who were prejudiced and believed that all spirits are evil regardless of what they do and some Taoists didn't discriminate against them and believed that good and evil depend on one's deed. As for TY, it was SY and QG who spread the rumor that TY is evil for their own selfish motive
