Glad her acting improved a little...But still needs lots of work....
All she knows how to do is to cry and whimper (in Heirs).... Glad she stopped doing the little patter steps she did in "You're Beautiful".
But, she does have beautiful eyes.
Watched the first ep and was really looking forward to the drama but I find the main girl soooooo irritating I…
Exactly!!! Isn't she annoying w/ her head hanging down being pathetic???
You would think that after years and years of seeing ghosts than need her help, she would stop being so irritatingly afraid like an idiot, walking around talking to herself as if no one can see her....
Until the last few episodes where she finally learned that they only want her help and can't harm her.
I don't get all the hype...It was just an average show...No great romance....Very disappointed in So Ji-Sub, he was dry and stiff, but improved and became a bit more expressive w/ his face at the end ....Kong Hyo-Jin was her typical self, pathetic, head hanging down, beaten by the world, hiding and a bit over-acting at first ..... But she did have some funny moments and stopped being too pathetic by the end ..... Just average, nothing deep or great about the show.
One of the best romances in k-drama. It's rare to see a romance develop realistically based on the interaction of two personalities (instead of fate or silly opposites attract)....
It was great to watch the attraction develop thru the banter, the dry-wit and deadpan humor b/w the leads...
Park Si-Hoo is excellent here as the arrogant cold-hearted businessman who falls for the one person he cannot defeat...
Great One-liners....Intelligent writing...Very very funny...
this was very good drama...It got a lot better in the last third...never got boring, although it is long...I skipped bits of dialogue among the many side characters, wasn't important, seemed like just filler.....
The best thing were the characters, they're well developed...Very good story with repetitive themes of brotherhood, motherhood, etc...
***It was not very deep compared to other family dramas, but entertaining***....
I liked Joo Won, very good in the sad parts, but blank stare when supposed to show love/passion etc...
Hillarious!!! Gianna Jun and Cha Tae-Hyun are magnificent...Seemed silly at first, but it captures the attention quickly.
The best thing about this comedy, is that it is not superficial...There is a message and a serious plot-line underneath it all, giving it depth.
.one of the best Korean movies.
This is hands down, the Best version of "Hana Yori Dango" (Boys Over Flowers)...
The Feels !!! ohh the Feels !! This is a classic story, the original version, closest to the manga...
What I love Best : --->>> The DIRECTOR , in telling the story, went to great lengths to explain the Motivation of the characters.... I can understand the characters' emotions and behaviors and it all made sense ...
--->> Well-Developed Characters, not just cartoonish or Manga!
--->> Jerry Yan is the best Dao Ming-Si (Tsukasa) and gives a passionate performance .... Through his Jealous Rages .... his Tight Embraces .... his Passionate Kisses .... the Pain and Longing evident in his eyes ....... Jerry Yan displays the Deep and Unwavering Love of Dao Ming-Si for Shan-Cai.
--->>> It is this Unfaltering/Unconditional Love that makes HYD stand out as one of the best love stories ....and THIS version is best at illustrating that love !!!
Also, b/c it is Taiwanese, the Sexual Tension is realistic and palpable .... ( Great, b/c in the K-version, there was no passion/chemistry at all ).
--->>> In this version, the BONDING FRIENDSHIP of the F4 is very evident !!...... The Bromance almost rivals the leads' romance ...XD
Also, Vanness Wu steals the scenes as Meizuo , and provides tons of comedic relief.
It is truly enjoyable to watch the F4's friendship.
....... ...... ....... ......
The J-version, has good acting, the cutest Tsukushi Makino , but a bit Cartoonish.
The K-Version, Looks good , but Very Superficial ! ... NOT a Believable Love , or passion , or friendship , etc.... ...... Also, Jan-Di belongs w/ Ji-Hu!
The scandal was a trap. It was a punishment from his ex agency who is a committee of KEMA. Find out more here…
I just read about another star, Jung Suk-Won, who wanted to challenge a 7 yr contract (basically a slave contract) w/ his agency.
Because he refused to go through CEMA's Mediation and chose the Korean Court arbitration, which takes a long time, CEMA banned him from appearing in any production. So his career was in limbo. Luckily for him the courts eventually sided w/ him, and he was allowed to break the contract.
That was vindictive of CEMA, just b/c he did not trust them enough to go thru them as arbitrators. Btw CEMA is Corea Entertainment Management Association.

I believe it is a personal vendetta to get back at PSH for refusing to re-sign w/ the agency. When you look up the list of stars signed by "Eyagi" PSH was by far their biggest moneymaker, and the most famous.
Caka Hwang, the CEO of his former agency "Eyagi" is also CEMA director and on the ethics committee... BUT,here's the twist:
During PSH's case, Hwang was himself charged by his Japanese girlfriend for assault and money fraud.
Plus, now, CEMA is being investigated for money fraud.
.....It is all part of the corrupt system....
This dramas is so much better than others in all its qualities… An epic Romance w/ political intrigue, in a captivating, tight and fast-moving plot… A story beautifully told and well executed by:
Amazing acting…Great directing/editing/writing…Beautiful cinematography…Superb production…Mesmerizing soundtrack…even the clothes were noticeably beautifully designed.
Awesome performance by Park Si-Hoo- I can understand all his thoughts & emotions through his eyes- from the charming, easy-going teacher to the tortured soul caught between Love and Revenge!!!
Moon Chae Won earned my respect...she did justice to the amzing and complex charcter of se-Ryung!
Surprisingly, one of the best romances I have ever seen… I have seen it several times and will, no doubt, watch it again in the future.
can someone tell me abt the ending and does it has any melodrama in it
This is an EPIC Romance before anything else... NOT like Romeo & Juliet, only similarity is that the two families are enemies.
One of the best romances you will see in a drama; a deep passionate love, that develops as they get to know each other and share adventures.
Plenty of melodrama, but don't assume anything. I won't spoil the end. The political intrigue is integral but easy to understand. Her father wants the throne, he is willing to kill the king his brother for it. His father is on the king's side and they fight it out.
This drama is very well made w/ amazing acting and a fast moving plot. It is still winning international awards 2-3 yrs later.

There is a few "YouTube" videos of just the Park Si-Hoo parts of the drama.
