IMO, Ariel Lin is just cute.... no more.... her body is like a 12 y.o. boy and her face is not beautiful.... pretty and cute, yes!...
She's likable and a good actress... but we are talking outer beauty as a Woman....
Se-Ryung (Moon Chae-Won) in "The Princess' Man"..... is the 'Ultimate Heroine'.....
She is intelligent, courageous, adventurous, loyal and willing to risk her life for what she believes in....
She defied the most evil villain - her father ....displayed 'heroic courage' to stand up for what is right and to fight for her Man....
Simply the best HEROINE of any drama ......
Great actor!.... Very handsome......and lots of Charm -
Subtle Expressions relay so much of his inner emotions and thoughts...
and he gives each character individual mannerisms, etc... (whether he's playing an obsessive control-freak or a playful playboy) ... he transforms completely!
I'm assuming Tong Hua is just stamping her name on this, like she did with Perfect Couple, otherwise the plot…
Mulgogi, Thanx for the referrals.... and Yes! Please send links via PM...
I am totally hooked on C-Dramas now... and taking long break from K-Dramas.....
It started recently, after watching "Summer's Desire" ... so different than K-dramas.... It's not all black or white, and no 'Idealism'...
So I pursued all dramas w/ Peter Ho, then Alec Su, got to all the historical dramas and Lui Shi Shi..... and now Lau Hawick.....
I love the historical dramas, and follow up by reading about the figures....
Also, although many criticise C-dramas for the CGI, etc... I noticed that they are innovative in using camera angles, very alluring images....
I am very impressed..... and definitely would like to read the translated novels .... I don't think I ever had that urge w/ any K-drama.
I'm assuming Tong Hua is just stamping her name on this, like she did with Perfect Couple, otherwise the plot…
CORRECTION: to read excerpts from SWAK novel

Koalasplayground has excerpts from the novel "BBJX" and "Ballad of the Desert"
The description above is not accurate.... she is forced to become his mistress so he can take revenge on her...But,…
It is by the same writer and very similar characters and story...
However, b/c Le Jun Kai is very short, it has a very simple plot covering only a few days....
LJK is also a bit more violent b/c the lead (Peter Ho) is a mob boss whereas in SWAK he's (Lau Hawick) a business man.
Here the characters are more complex.... The male lead is a bit more sympathetic and full of angst and repressed emotions...
Also the female lead here is not simply weak and a victim...
She walks into it by her own decision... (manipulated and tricked, yet still, she makes the choice.)...... So, she is not as submissive as in LJK.
(***LJK spoiler***.... although, in LJK too, she chooses him, knowing what he did to her father.)
Anyone know where I can watch this w/ Eng subs and the episodes are NOT cut?...
Viki has cut about 5 minutes of every episode....sometimes, very crucial segments are missing!
I'm assuming Tong Hua is just stamping her name on this, like she did with Perfect Couple, otherwise the plot…
Koalaplayground translated exerpts from SWAK on her blog... it provides a better understanding of the characters..... .... ....
Do you know of any other place to read some of her translated works? ...... .....
Someone commented about SWAK reminding them of '50 Shades of Grey'........
I disagree. Just from the few excerpts and the complexity of her characters, her writing is a 100 times better.
I'm assuming Tong Hua is just stamping her name on this, like she did with Perfect Couple, otherwise the plot…
I know she wrote Le Jun Kai..... I loved its intensity (and Peter Ho, of course)...... I like her complex characters, not all black or white..... ..... .... also, she seems obsessed w/ love/hate or love/abuse relationships..... ......
What others has she written?...I googled her but novel names are different than drama names.
I'm assuming Tong Hua is just stamping her name on this, like she did with Perfect Couple, otherwise the plot…
The plot and the characters sound exactly like "Sealed w/ a Kiss", which also starred Lau Hawick.......Hmmmmm?!?!?!....can't get enough of Hawick or "SWAK". :)
Does anyone know if this has aired, and if so....Where can I see it w/ Eng subs?
You missed "Heirs"..... it has to be the biggest disappointment of the year!... I cant believe it's from the same writer as "Gentleman's Dignity" and "Secret Garden"!.... ..... ..... ......
but I agree that "When a Man Loves" is a huge letdown also..... .... I love watching SSH and listening to that velvety voice.... ...... .... fizzle!
