the Only Asian-drama I saw w/ a true "Love-Triangle ".... she loves and was in a relationship w/ both men .... ..... ..... a "Roller-Coaster ride" .... ..... "Nail-Biting" to the end to see who she'll choose.... .... the heroine is Strong, Icy and Manipulative but kind, wise and intelligent .... .... until the end, viewers are split as to which man is their favorite ..... ...... .... .....Not typical drama at all !.... ..... .... loved it
Saw it a 2nd time ...love it even more than the 1st ..... so much more appreciative of the performances by the three leads ...... I now see more layers of meanings, more of the irony , the well developed (albeit sometimes unrealistic) characters .....
Loved him as the passionate but "maniacal" Colonel Masaya in "Cold Steel".

Peter Ho is as magnetic as ever .... Loved the "maniacal" Japanese Colonel Masaya played by Wilson Guo Mingxiang...
... At the climax, although the action scenes are thrilling, I felt the plot got a bit weak.
.... The script was a compilation of one liners - mainly adages and aphorisms - that offered up comedic relief .....
Lots of thrilling fun visually;. But , due to the lack of an equally thrilling plot at the end, and the lack of a better script ---> the film fails to make a psychological impact... ...

Surprisingly, I liked the first half (Season 1) Very Much.... and enjoyed the love the main couple showed more than that of Ruo-Xi & 4th Prince .... Loved the lead actor Qi Ji ....
Then I found that the lead actress , Zhao Li Ying (Zanilia), has starred in a few of his productions which looked interesting ..... but plots sounded familiar/'re-makes' (just as u said) !?

Stopped at ep. 10 after Peter Ho appears to her naked out of the shower.... BUT... Even that scene & dialogue were funnier in the "Behind-the-Scenes" clip .
I love Jang Hyuk and like him much better than the lead of the T-version .... Here he is much more optimistic, energetic and fun .... so I'll watch it for him ...<3

---> I loved the reference to "Chuno" ... the minute he took off his jacket to fight the dog....they played the 'fighting' music from "Chuno".... his 'fight' to end w/ a fizzle here, of course.... super funny! .....
Also, when the grandma punched the assistant in the arm, the way he imitated her w/ his punch.... Jang Hyuk's engaging sense of humour <3<3<3
