Why do they keep changing it's name? ..... ...... it's the 3rd or 4th name already!
It's a sequel to "Ballad/Song of the Desert" ..... So .....
just keep it as "Song in the Clouds"!
Wow! .... I am surprised at how much I like this drama !!! I smile to myself and am so engrossed by the great chemistry of main couple!! Wu Ji and Huan Er are one of the best coupes in dramaland, very natural.
I Loved season 1 (ep1-25) very, very, much ... But , season 2 (ep 26-50) was bit slow w/ too many senseless scenes ( I skipped them and still got the gist of it.) ...... it focuses on the other brothers. .... <3 1st brother's love .... I liked 2nd bro's love story ..... 3rd bro's love story didn't have enough tension w/ his love rival.
This really should be listed as 2 seasons, that's how it aired anyway .... so that way , the ratings for the 2nd season would not drag down those of the 1st.
EDIT: I ended up creating a separate MDL page for season 2. So, ratings for this page are skewed towards the lower end from when both seasons were counted as 1 show instead of two.
Well you can guess the endind even without the opening... I meen it's the classic tragedy, the hero(let's put…
Exactly! .... You got the point of the ending and the violence ... and actors were perfect ..... ..... try watching "Sealed w/ a Kiss" or "Summer's Desire" a C-drama & T-drama.
Intense.... Raw emotion .... Great acting .... Very good writing.... BUT, in general, it needed to better explore the characters, simply too short !!
Love how it was edited..... ..... seems like a compilation of flashback ..... editing, lighting, music, concise scenes, close-ups ....all set the mood ===> expresses the intensity of the emotions .... and some insight into the complexity of the characters (falls short here)......
This is by the same writer as "Sealed w/ a Kiss" (aka SWAK) ..... The characters and Premise for the Plot are very similar to SWAK ... He marries her for "Revenge" and abuses her Emotionally/Psychologically w/ some "Implied" Violence..... obviously she loves him also ........ ===>>> So both have internal turmoil figuring out how to control love, when to hate and when to let go ......
I think the fact that this drama is so dreadful is because it's so short, so we only get the intense parts and…
The part that they fell in love is not done well.... I don't get the play part ... So, like you, I'm not sure why she fell hopelessly in love w/ him .... b/c even as her father warned her, she still went to Le Jun-Kai and married him knowing he killed her dad.....
For him, I think it was a combination .... so although he was seducing her in order to lure her into marriage and thus trapping her for revenge .... I believe he was genuinely attracted to her from the beginning .... During the marriage, he obviously fell in love w/ her as shown in the one scene where he espies her w/ wet hair and is seduced by her scent..... he doesn't answer her question if he ever loved her and walks away ..... He is denying it to himself ---> He's afraid of his feelings so he divorces her and kicks her out...
Is this a remake of "From Here to Eternity" w/ Burt Lancaster, Deborah Kerr, Frank Sinatra and Monty Cliff? ..... ...... ..... It sounds very similar, at least the love story part ...etc...
That man is beautiful ..... what's more to say? .... Love the way he speaks , soft-spoken and Sensual !! ....
He'll always be Dong-Cheol, one of my favorite characters in dramas... a 'good-guy' w/ all the sex-appeal of a 'bad-boy' ....
This has one of the most fascinating story-lines ..... 2 babies switched at birth by a vindictive nurse so each is being raised by his family's enemy .... .... .... 56 episodes and I could not stop watching! ...it was addictive!
--- Very Well Written!! ..... Great characters.... and the relationships get so complicated/intertwined, yet simple to understand ....
--- One of best love stories, Dong-Chul & Guk-Ja, yearning, passion, forbidden, obstacles .... an epic romance!
--- Yet , ... the story of the two (three) brothers is an even better (B)romance !!! ....
there were a few technical issues ...and.... 3/4 thru , a barely noticeable hitch in the plot (due to behind-the-scenes production drama , I later found out) .... but nothing that effects the enjoyment of the show :)
In the early days of my Drama addiction, I saw: "A Millionaire's First Love" , "More than Blue" , "A Moment to remember" , "Koizora" , "Sad Love Song" , "The Snow Queen" , "Autumn in my Heart" , "Padam, Padam" etc...etc...etc....
By the time I recently got to "Scent of a Woman", I was desperately trying to avoid it .... ..... .... But I was into Lee Dong-Wook so I gave it a try ....
I didn't cry, or maybe once,.... ..... b/c I have become so sick and tired of these "dying-young-of-a-mysterious-disease" themes .... I could hardly feel sad; just jaded... .... ...
I still haven't seen "1 Liter of Tears" or Miura Haruma's new drama .....
b/c I am repulsed by that theme .... maybe in a year or so, after a long break, I'll be able to see them.
No reason to pick on Lee Da-Hae for "Chuno" .... All residual from her walking out on "East of Eden" ..... ...... ..... ..... For which she should be severely criticized!!!
She was unprofessional ..... ..... .... if she didn't want to be second lead, why take the role? .... ..... .... she caused a lot of damage and luckily "East of Eden" is still one of the best story-lines of any drama...
Actually I remember how sad I was that Faith wasnt more of an fantastic, high budget drama.Lee Min Ho s character…
the best thing about it was the villain, actor Yu Oh-Sung! ..... He was the only reason to watch .... and Philip Lee's character was interesting but they didn't utilize him enough ..... .....
I haven't been able to get back to East of Eden. The whole marrying your rapist disturbed me. Bad Guy, my second…
I think they call that 'slap/kiss' something and it's popular in Thai dramas ..which I've never seen.
But, they used to do that in some Hollywood movies?!?! ... bad!.....bad!...bad!
**** Spoiler ***** In defense of the show : The character gets his punishment and eventually repents .... Plus, the victim gets empowered and does not act like a victim, but rather like a strong survivor .....
This is why they need to consider filming the whole drama before it airs. I really don't like how they film while…
kpopx3lover.... I totally agree w/ you ..... ..... this shooting while it's airing takes away from the quality .... ..... and it seems scripts are still 1/2 written when they start so that by the end the story-line become incongruous .... .... It's like writing an essay w/out an outline and the story just rambles on .... .... At the very least ... the scripts should be written all ahead of time ...... It would solve a lot of their problems ..... and if they would at least shoot more than a month before it starts, then they won't have such bad editing or rushed productions.
Lee Da Hae's situation still confuses me. So, her character was supposed to be paired up with Song Seung Hun's…
AND yes! somehow Lee Da-Hae managed to make an intelligent upper-class lady who is kind-hearted, un-biased, and an activist for democracy and equality (who is also pitiful b/c she lacked the love and support of her family and still remained kind to her jealous selfish sister) ....
she managed to make such a sympathetic and loving character into a stand-offish cold b**** ..... ..... ....
Think about it: the description of the character makes it likable .... ..... yet nobody seemed to like her!
Lee Da Hae's situation still confuses me. So, her character was supposed to be paired up with Song Seung Hun's…
She was supposed to be paired up w/ Song Seung-Heon and become competition for Young-Ran .... Young-Ran's father set them up for the trip to Japan in order to get him away from his daughter ..... ..... that trip was a big fizzle ....b/c she left the show right after that .....
She was also the new love for the younger brother ... making his ex jealous...But more importantly, as she hooked up w/ the older brother, it would have made the younger one more jealous of his bro after he discovered his true identity ..... .... adding more tension than just one is "gangster" and the other is a "prosecutor" ..... ..... ..... that show is so full of opposites on so many different levels ..... involving so many characters .... situations/relationships get very complicated/intertwined yet very simple to understand .... ..... I love that show ..... .. ...one of the best story-lines ever!
And, Lee Da-Hae took away from it ..... ..... .....
Why is Lee Da-Hae still allowed to work and Han Ye-Seul has been cast out?...
--- Han Ye-Seul was immature in leaving .... but she has probably learned her lesson ....and returned to set ....
.... I am certain it was not easy for her to get adjusted to the culture after being raised in L.A. .... She probably thought she was a diva in Hollywood .... (So what , if actresses r not allowed to be Divas , then who ?).... ...
She also had some legitimate reasons, as I heard the production company admitted to tough circumstances .... .... ...
So I think Han Ye-Seul deserves a second chance and should not be ostracized!
I loved East of Eden .... ..... and I remember Lee Da-Hae's character being set-up .....: as the second-lead of the 1st love-triangle and as the new-love of a 2nd love triangle.... ..... ..... ..... .... All of a sudden, she's out --->>> It left an obvious gap .... and the story-lines suddenly changed .... as 2 love-triangles Lost their Tension and just became 2 pairings of a love-to-come and a love-that-was .... .... ....
........Plus, she was playing a pivotal role of adding to a 3rd love triangle w/ 2 brothers as the main roles .... .... .... thus adding even more reason for conflict b/w them ..... ...... ..... that would have been awesome! .... ..... .... I hate her for taking that away from an already incredible story-line ..... ...... ^.^
She deserved the criticism .... .... ..... Luckily, the story is very strong and was not greatly affected.
I am surprised they let her work after that .... considering how S. Korea is so unforgiving of scandals of any kind .... weather the actor is wrongly or justly accused !
It's a sequel to "Ballad/Song of the Desert" ..... So .....
just keep it as "Song in the Clouds"!
