I found this explaintion which is the spoiler from the book. “So basically The Khun Yai Jom sees in the scene after the end credits is not the Khun Yai he knows, but he's actually Commander Yai, Khun Yai past life. Commander Yai is a general that lived during 1700, the time period Jom is transported to after he has to leave Khun Yai in 1928. This is because in the novel Jom goes back to his present, the modern times, only AFTER he meets first Khun Yai in 1927 and then Commander Yai in 1727. The show gave Jom and Khun Yai time to make peace with Jom's disappearance but in the novel it was actually a bit brutal, with Jom one day disappearing right before Khun Yai's eyes with no time to say goodbye or even realize what happened. Then Jom finds himself in Commander Yai's era, with a version of Yai really diffent from the sweet 1927 Khun Yai. Commander Yai doesn't know who Jom is or that they were lovers in another life, so he initially treats Jom harshly. Stuff happens and Jom manages to make Commander Yai fall in love with him, but then he has to leave once again and this time he gets back to his own time.

the person you see at the end is basically the reincarnation of khun yai which, as I've read in the comments, is living his 3rd life and he does remember his past life with jom.

as someone else already said if i could rate those series higher I would because 10 is not enough to describe how much I loved this series. it was simply perfect from beginning to end. I cried my eyes out like I've never done for any other series, I'm gonna miss waiting every Friday just to watch the new episode 💔 but I'm thankful I got to watch such a wonderful masterpiece ❤️🙏🏻
