There is romance and kisses, but the story has too much traumatized and sorrow misunderstanding moments. I like a balance of trauma and fun and sorrow intertwined.
Binge-watching 7 episodes in an afternoon. Pretty good so far. Thank goodness! It is way better than the Blue Whisperer. I watched the latter for Dilraba and Ren Jia Lun but that show was too depressing and way too many traumatized arcs. I still think Love Like the Galaxy topped the list among this summer epic releases. Immortal Samara is next on my list. All actors performed so wonderful in all of these dramas at their young age. Kudos to all people making these shows for everyone to enjoy. Be very grateful for nice entertainment. I encourage everyone to watch this, nice costumes and fun so far…
I started this drama and dropped it at Episode 4 to watch Love Like the Galaxy. I returned here and now at Episode 16, still feel no connection. Still feeling blue from the Galaxy! Just not sure why so many torture and punishment on both the FL and ML in this one??? I guess I am not into this kind of drama. Will it get any better?
Just curious, if anyone has read the book. The show did not have CSS’s eldest brother but only a couple mentions when her family has a celebration and Yuan Shan Jian came without being invite and spoke of him to CSS parents. Wonder why the show never has this character. Any thoughts?

Now I am on episode 39. Everyone has different opinions. Mine: it is an elegant cinematic and big production. The actors and actresses are good. Dilraba is not my favorite but she did a wonderful job in this show. I wish for Zhao Yiling; she would be great in the lead role but I think she may be older now. The story is believable because of different wars at in different regions of China, therefore different characters appeared at different cities/places when the leads traveled. Dilraba’s hair style is similar to the comics, I think. And the make up is the way it is in different country’s style. Korean has less make up than Chinese, Japanese is even less. Middle age actors have similar facial features because it is an ethnic feature. Personally, I like men without facial hair, nicer looking! Please give it some time, the story is very moving. I went through the post war era in Vietnam, it is so sad to have wars. Hope this drama help some people grasp the sad truth happening in Ukraine. Prayers to all…
I am at episode 15 and it is so funny!!! The drama is of course unrealistic but very very funny. The actors and actresses are excellent in their roles. I am on the floor laughing hard!!!!so far I have not rapid speedy forward any part. So, I recommend everyone to watch it.
After watching this drama, I feel the need to clarify the issues with two male leads. Dong Dong is actually the main lead because he told the story from the beginning when he moved to town. And yes the FL was really into Xiao Jian because they were childhood friends going through stages in life, even before Dong Dong came to town. She has a happy family with Dong Dong with a boy!!! I feel that everyone thinks Xiao Jian is the main lead because of his bad boy image and there was definitely puppy love between Xiao Jian and Xiao Xiao. There is actual "real life" love between Dong Dong and Xiao Xiao. And, there is a happy ending for this drama! This drama depicts life during the 80-90s era. I remembered sitting with many people in my neighbor's house who has a black/white TV watching Saturday night TV musical show. This drama is so close to home because I had a puppy love during that era but growing up knowing that love would never become real due to family circumstances. He loves her when he was a teen. That love is much more than adult love because it is his first love, his protection, his happiness since he was a child. They are not blood related and he knows this well as a mature kid.
