This is only partially related to this drama (which I'm watching) but I love how every kdrama has the "random employees in suits standing around in various locations doing absolutely nothing" background characters these days. Because that apparently the only way the directors know to convey someone or something important is there.

I tried to get into that one but it seemed like the FL's sole purpose was to chase the ML the entire series.

That does get annoying, where the ML is perfect and the obvious choice and the rest is just 16 episodes of the FL being the last person on earth to realize this.

Love triangles only work if it's not already obvious by episode 3 that the ML and FL are going to end up together. Otherwise it's just forced filler to reach a time quota.

Oh gee, the ex comes back and is now her boss so they'll be spending lots of time together? Haven't seen that in 30 other kdramas.

Started off good but now it's typical, tropey and cookie-cutter. Roh Jeong Eui was terrible in 2024's Hierarchy (which I otherwise loved). She's better here but she turns into just another love interest halfway through. Bae in Hyuk is the only thing worth watching in this series.

The main story's good but the side story's a trainwreck.

I'm only on episode four. Is this going to be one of those that's light and airy the first half, then the "dark and tragic backstory" kicks in the second half? Because I'm sick of those.

Honestly it would be more interesting for me if they didn't try to force the love story and just let them be attorney/client and artist/fan. An in-depth look at a healthy relationship between an idol and a fan would be very refreshing.

It's a fun story with some interesting twists. But these two have zero chemistry romantically, and trying to sell them as a couple just doesn't work.

Agreed. I wasn't expecting much and it's easy to do this type of drama badly but this one kind of works?
