On Love in Contract Nov 15, 2022
Dropped this at ep 9. This is completely a waste of time. Draggy running the same premise in circles every episode, reminded me of Jealousy Incarnate. The story was so 2000s with the strong presence of 2ML and later introducing2FL. I wish they hadn't done the love triangle.

I think the story would have been better if in the first half they show the different guys she has helped with her service whilst showing her growing relationship with the ML and his character growth (something similar to Introverted Boss). They could have done some interesting social commentary surrounding marriage and the societal pressures. All this whilst also slowly revealing her past and what she has been through with Madam Yoo. That I think would have made for a more interesting story than some boring love triangle where we all already know who she will end up with from ep 1.

Do not recommend. Although I enjoy PMY's acting, I can't believe sometimes this is the same actress that was the lead role in Healer. She's picking some really boring scripts lately.

I have watched LiT (24 eps) time travel drama. This was a good show, i liked the version of time travel they chose…
100% agreed on the 2FL. Really wooden acting/facial expressions/voice. I was like omgggg do you feel anything lady? Your brother just tried to murder someone!

This was good, but not great. It was about 5-6 eps too long and towards the end I was getting really bored. I think if they had done 1 hour 16-20 eps this would have been better. There were too many repetitive scenes- with too little going on. I just wanted them to get on with the story but we were instead made to rewatch the same scenario on repeat.

ML was great but I think FL was quite stiff in some scenes. She still needs to be more natural on screen esp when she has to laugh. I legit cringed in her laugh scenes. Her crying scenes are good though. I didn't feel any chemistry between the leads unfortunately but that could just be me. I'm sure other viewers may have felt it.

The 2nd couple ML was also good but wow the 2FL was the most deadpan non expressive actress I have seen. Even her voice (not sure if dubbed) had zero inflection. Was she just so bored with the plot/script or is that just her?

About the time travel - very well done, for the most part they kept all their rules in place however I have to say, it didn't have the thrill of a time travel drama. I don't know if it's because of the way it was written or too many filler scenes, the time travel of this story didn't add much to the story.

Overall - an ok watch. I would recommend but I would probably not rewatch this or even scenes from this.

Honestly she's grown to be my favourite cdrama actress- she improves and shines with every new drama she does. I'm always checking her page on MDL to see when her next drama project will start airing.

This is decent but very slow and not a lot happens in this drama. It's not something that should be binged - at most 2-3 eps a day because it will be easy to get bored. I liked the leads but I felt the FL did most of the work in this, whilst the ML served us with his looks (very good looking man). I think this role didn't allow him to express much so it's hard to say whether he needs more work or it's the role. The FL was very cute - but a pretty standard "sunshine FL", so there wasn't much to explore there either. Their kiss scenes were good but only one scene really had chemistry.

They also could have expanded on some of the concepts a bit more and really explored the mental health component to make it more interesting. It seemed a bit like an afterthought than an important plot point.

I did like the second couple and all the desserts in this show looked divine, I wanted to visit SOL myself. But most importantly there's RUIRUI! Omg he's grown up so much since "unforgetable love" and he's still such a cutie.

Overall, It's an easy cute watch with no major dramas, but a bit bland.

The Prince was attracted to the FL. He started to get jealous
Yeah I know but why? It's not like they indicated love at first sight but rather he just randomly started feeling jealous.

um this seems more like an ad than a drama, even with the kind subber ffwd through the ads, it's definitely not worth the watch.

This is an ok mid tier short series. Not amazing, low budget, tons of continuity errors and a bland story line. But it's such a quick watch you can still find enjoyment in it. I wouldn't say it's boring, a lot of things happen in succession but rather things move so quickly because of the length of each ep that you can't develop any connection to the characters.

This would have been better if they did less with the time they had and let the audience relate to the actors more. The leads were actually pretty decent although I couldn't feel their chemistry at all I blame that on the pacing more than the actors.

It's an ok watch. You won't miss out by skipping but you won't hate yourself for watching it either.

Ok finished watching and this was a really sweet law drama. There were some really heartfelt cases that made me tear up but it was balanced with a lot of comedy and romance. I did feel like it did go a bit OTT towards the end with all the makjangness that made it not as great as it was in the beginning.

I am also someone who likes watching Lee Seung Gi dramas but for some reason can never feel any heated chemistry with his FLs. It was the same in this BUT their romance is very sweet, and although it didn't make my heart flutter a lot, it still gave some butterflies and more importantly had me smiling a lot. So there's a lot of sweet non-toxic romance in this drama. And both the leads learn to grow with each other which is always a sign of a healthy relationship.

The side characters were adorable, I wanna see the barista in a more romantic role- he's hot. Also Jo Han did a really great job as a villain. I actually enjoyed watching his scenes. He did a great job of almost evoking sympathy from the audience only to completely rip it away with his actions in the next second.

I do think it dragged a bit in parts, and I was skipping a little more towards the end to finish it but overall - cute fluffly romance with great kiss scenes, a lot of hilarity and a generous dose of heart makes this worth the watch.

Ok half way through watching this and can I just say WOW on the episode that explains consent? This is the first time I'm hearing of the concept of "Yes Means Yes" and it just blew my mind that I'm hearing this in a kdrama. Guys we have come so far in dramaland, from forced non-consensual kisses to explaining new concepts of consent.

I mean as guilty pleasure the domineering CEO is fun but in real life it would be a horror story. I'm just so amazed that the show took consent seriously but also presented it in a fun and understandable manner.

OST was a bit of a miss though, they could have chosen much better music than the English pop rock they had. Only memorable OST was the instrumental one.

Really cute well balanced sports and romance drama. I love a clingy ML and Yu Cheng was all that and more. He was so adorable and considerate but still acted like a kid sometimes (because he is still maturing throughout the series). He really managed to both put himself and his dreams as priority as well as love. Like he said "one way to love is to sacrifice but another way is to endure everything together" and with so many noble idiot tropes that often rub me the wrong way I prefer his way of loving.

This is really an adorable romance sports drama with a lot of care given to the shots and direction of the series. Although there is nothing new or different, it stands out because the pacing of the series is really good as well as the acting. They main leads really do act like a couple in love, not afraid of skinships, healthy fights that are resolved usually quickly and constantly rooting for each other.

There were times I felt a little uncomfortable wih Luo Na being his coach and having a relationship. There's a definite power dynamic there that would give me pause in real life, but overall it still manages to be passable in the drama.

Totally worth the watch if you are looking for something sweet with substance.

Really low budget production with a super cheesy script and bad acting from everyone except the FL. She was pretty good, given the low budget. It was one of those...this is so bad but I can't stop watching it short series.

Probably wouldn't recommend but you can try the first 15 mins and see if you get into it.
