So cute! What's great about this season is you don't need to waste time being introduced to the characters so you can straight away jump in to the romance. This first half I thought was funnier than the first season, I was laughing a lot. I did think the leads had better kiss scenes in the first season though, but they still had overall great chemistry in this season. In both seasons I have to say the leads are one of the few on-screen couples that really feel like a couple. They hug, hold hands, give each other pecks- and I'm grateful they were able to be comfortable enough to have that kind of presence on screen (esp considering Bie is married). They really don't hold back on the physical affection (and by that I mean not just kisses) - which is really nice to see!

Also the addition of the storyline actress of Xiabao was such a great idea! She was so cute in her role. I totally loved her and her relationship with Xiaoqi too!

It's just such a cheerful, pink-pink, lighthearted fluff drama to forget all about your worries. This is a turn off- tune in and enjoy the romcom (heavy on the com too!) drama. If you liked season 1 you will end up falling in love with season 2!

Are the love triangles here more prominent than season one or vice versa?
Hmm... both seasons have 2nd leads but I suppose it's a little tamer in this season compared to the first.

A pretty healthy and non-toxic relationship, the leads were everything that held this drama together. They had great script (esp in the beginning) and chemistry. Everything else was bit bland from the secondary couple to the direction of the show. I feel like, others, this had more potential. I think partly the title/trailer were a little misleading. I was expecting a ML like Dongfang Qingchang from LBFAD since the ML is supposedly a bad boy/villainous character.

Also I think the plot was supposed to be more dramatic than the direction of the drama. It felt like the writer was trying to do one thing, and the director the complete opposite. There was very little "drama" in this - and I don't mean the unnecessary toxicity that are prevalent in cdramas- but rather the dramatics needed to pull off a fantasy story like this. It did drag from ep 16-22 for me and I was skipping a lot because of how bland everything was. Even their love didn't feel "unforgettable".

Overall I would still say this is a cute light fluffy watch with great romance from the leads, but go in expecting a very soft drama that tries to be more slice of life than fantasy which is its ultimate downfall.

I don't think this little series was to ever be taken seriously. I think it is quite funny.
Yeah it's not but there are better short series with better acting and writing. I didn't personally find this good at all but glad you did!

Subs aren't that great and the FL needs improvement on her acting. The case was also overly convoluted for such a short series, with the villains confessing their entire plan at the drop of the hat. ML was really good though and would like to see more of him!

All over the place, trying to do much with very little time and it was really disappointing. The FL had more chemistry with her friend Su MU than with the ML. Possibly cause she had so much more screen time with her.

The comedy was cringey and the romance was lackluster, the only one who could act was the FL. Everyone else was meh or really bad.

Do not waste your time with this.

Wow this really blew me away. Probably one of the best mini series I have watched, great script & story, wonderful acting and it was produced really well. The director and cinematographer did really well. This is waaaayyy better than a lot of normal dramas. Ofcourse as a mini series some plot points were rushed but almost everything was really well developed.

Dear producers/directors/writers- please give us more of these kind of mini series. Not just badly produced bossy president ones.

Only complaint was the FL needs a little brush up on her crying parts but other than that she was really good. But her and the ML had amazing chemistry and they don't hold back on the kisses either! Highly recommend this!

Really dumb but in a fun way! Expect nothing going in and you may get a few cringe laughs.

Pretty cute, main leads were good together. I liked S2 more than S1 but wow the side actors were terrible esp in S2. Really overacted in their parts - I wonder if that's what the director had in mind for them. Also in S1 there was too much "comedic abuse" of the ML. Wasn''t a fan of him being beaten up for every small thing by the FL.

Although I was expecting more romance this series is really more about detective work and the cases they come across so that was a disappointment. Other than that - FL actress is gorgeous. Would like to see her in more dramas. ML did a pretty good job in his different roles but I wish the story had gone in a different direction.

It's ok to watch but don't expect much romance.

Ummmm nobody should watch this. Bad acting aside, it's got a very very abusive relationship - like ml r*pes fl in the first ep and it just continues to be abusive from there on. Like no- this is horrifying and I'm actually sad this was written and then made and ml's "love" is glorified instead of treated as the abuse it is.

Wayy too long for such a simple story line. Halfway through I gave up, there's only so many talking in circles, almost kisses and being interrupted mid-confessions I can take. This isn't so much a slow burn as much as beating around the bush till the very end.

Overall pretty decent, there were some lines that were pretty meaningful in this. But I really wish they had chosen a premise different from "she's ugly in modern times because glasses" and a few tiny black spots on her face- and for that reason she didn't have any friends?? Even when she becomes "a beauty" I have to squint to see what changed - because really on camera you can't see any changes.

The chemistry between the couple is good though and I did really like the ML in this - he is very emotive. The fl's character reminded me of Esther's character in LBFAD. Very OTT cute but also has her sad moments.

Unfortunately where it falls short is the premise and overall story. It's a bit all over the place (is it about dancing, wine, time travel?). It's a little messy and even in such a short series had a few too many boring filler scenes.

Still worth the watch the main cp is cute and it's not that bad as far as short series go!

Sigh - still not over this drama. Whilst it doesn't have a groundbreaking story it was produced/acted/directed in a way that made it unforgettable. The CGI backgrounds were beautiful and wow Dylan Wang in this was a feast for the eyes.

I think what also set it apart from other xinxia dramas was that it didn't go on and on with the angst which was a relief as an audience member geared for extremely long periods of separation you forget who the main cp is. Such a great and wonderful drama.
