Started off really good but lost it's fizzle as it went on. Couldn't feel any chemistry between the leads and for this kind of drama that's- shut your brains off - that's the most important thing.
I will say the FL's acting has improved so much and she was super adorable in this series.
The FL was great in this - everyone else was not. Bad acting all around from what was a pretty fun story (although weak script). Hope to see the FL in more dramas. Miscasting for the ML, and evil FL (to me she looks too innocent).
Anyone else feel like FL gives Zhao Lu Si vibes? Also for some reason this really reminded me of the kdrama marriage not dating.
Pretty good for a short series though admittedly there were too many plot jumps and things that completely didn't make sense but that's expected in short ep dramas. It's quite well acted, full of good looking men all falling over the FL but in a bearable way. Would like to see season 2 since this one didn't have that much romance in it and was more about the FL figuring out one plot point after the next.
All these good short dramas coming out and not giving us second seasons. Another really good Richard Li short drama. In fact probably the best one so far, this one has the best developed characters and plot. I really want to know what happens next!

As a short series, this wasn't worth it. Although the premise is good, acting is terrible, it clearly barely had a budget and the script was a little too all over the place. Also the leads didn't have chemistry. Skip this one.
For a 1 min per ep drama it was pretty hilarious in the beginning. But got really weird in last few eps- not sure why they did that but ok. Can't expect much coherence in 1 min eps. Still a cute way to spend 26 mins of your time.

Tried watching it but couldn't get into it. I don't know if it's me or the pacing is really weird in the drama. The script is really meh, the comedy not funny and too many flying around staring at each other in circles in the first 2 eps alone. Also sorry but the ML does not give me lead vibes. His acting is quite bland. FL looks promising and is gorgeous. Would like to see her in something better.
Cause JGS always gets judged really harshly every time he does a romcom/melo, so I think he stated something to the effect of not wanting to do them anymore. The boy gets wayyy too much criticism so if he does sometimes do dramas I think he will stay away from romance. He has too many antis. :(
Agree with the previous comment. Main couple was boring- basically this isn't a romance drama it's more political. But even then it's like 15 episodes too long. Would have been better if it didn't drag or they actually did something with the romance in the second half.
I skipped from ep 32 to the finale and even then I was bored. I do appreciate the FL- very well written, elegant and graceful and the actress did a fantastic job in her role. But the males in the drama had a lot of overacting, lots of bulging eyes here.
It could have been so much better given how smart the FL was, but unfortunately too many episodes and a boring plot made the drama not worth the watch.

Lol yeah! Iqiyi has gotten better with their trailers now. I remember even their trailers used to be the entire drama in a 10 min summary! If the botanist drama is too angsty I might give it a pass. I can't deal with too much angst and long term separation. Gives me too much anxiety!

Ah that's good. I saw the trailer for one of his upcoming modern times dramas - as botanist ? Even that looks like it's full of angst but more from the sibling relationship? Tbh watching the trailer was watching a summary of the drama- I pretty much figured everything out!
