You're like a broken record, always repeating yourself and bringing up YAMG. Never said YAMG wasn't successful so not bothered with giving an explanation for the 10th time lol (there's a difference with COMMERCIAL success and success of the overall drama, even though I do consider YAMG as a hit but I'm talking about dramas in general).

"He was no longer a demon held captive in a dungeon. He now ruled over the entire Northlands and held a domain that competed with the imperial court of the Dacheng Dynasty. He was honored, respected, and even feared."

I so enjoyed the beginning scenes of our innocent Chang Yi and the pure love that developed between him and Ji Yunhe. Unexpectedly though because of how naïve he can be I was excited for him to transition into Lord of the North, the duality is amazing with his character and Allen is doing an incredible job with the contrast expressions he uses as innocent Chang Yi and cold Chang Yi.

Yeah thats the only thing I take away from her reviews is I get an insight on how Chinese audience feels about a certain drama but she def has different tastes. Most dramas that she has high praise for are dramas I personally wouldnt be interested in at all haha,
If this comes true, I will not be surprised. Last epsiode for Part 1 for VIP members in China is 1 April. If they…
People are more than capable of watching more than one drama and can watch whenever they want (you can literally do that with web dramas). Anything can happen, so dont speak on behalf of Reba because no one knows what she wants.
So I've been seeing some of the main scenes get translated on twitter and understand why people dont like Ji Yunhe being so manipulative and verbalizing how much she likes Chang Yi (I also didnt like that as much). Maybe she was more sincere in the novel but I also think shes somewhat sincere in the drama too, other wise why would she feel so much pain in the cliff scene? Her intentions have always been good and for Changyi's sake, her method may be wrong but her heart is in the right place. I also think its productions way to really emphasize the angst later on, so we can sympathize with Changyi as well as Ji Yunhe and just be as torn as the characters haha, gonna be a crazy ride (at least when eng subs are available lol).
Also wanna add within in China the data and viewer feedback both look pretty good so far but it's super early.…
Im not gonna speak on ads, netflix and whatever you mentioned here because how will I ever know the answers to that, I dont assume thats what the business side of production focuses on. I only share to you what I've learned about C-industry from Chinese sources because it is known that although high viewership is important, its not the ONLY indication that a drama is a huge hit.

So your mindset is every drama with high viewership means that its reached GP and is considered a big hit right? but thats not the case for Chinese entertainment because there are many dramas with high viewership but make no impact. How is a view counted? is it counted by replays? is it counted if someone watched the whole series? or if someone watched one episode and then dropped it? There is no specific system known to public on how views are counted and we just go by the number shared by platforms. So to assume thats the many neutrals there are is completely inaccurate and no one can ever know because platforms dont show us that information. Furthermore if neutrals do watch and contribute to views, did they like it? did it have great reviews or did they just watch for CP like some did for YAMG? is the overall buzz so positive that word of mouth is going crazy? Is the drama such a hit that even, side actors getting praised and opening up opportunities for their careers? Dramas like SSS had a high viewership but still had very mixed reviews and also criticized in certain aspects but people still tuned in because of who starred in it so thats not considered a hit. NIF didnt get a monstrous viewership but its known as an iconic drama and huge hit that even people like me who havent watched, know that it made such an impact in entertainment and thats considered a hit. YAMG lets be honest became a hit because of its CP (which no one thought would ever happen) so even GP were interested in this pairing. The chemistry between them being backed up by extreme marketing and a good script was an overall successful recipe for high viewership.

Absolutely shes doing amazing, the genuine kindness shes able to portray with how she looks at Changyi warms my heart so much. Yet you can also sense the underlying guilt she feels but also the determination to keep going on with her plan for his sake, while being in physical pain! Our girl going through a lot haha

Yes high viewership is a big factor but that alone doesnt indicate that the drama is a hit because reaching a wider audience can be shown in other ways than just high views.
To those thinking or not knowing how The Blue Whisper is doing, its exploding as it should. No kind of comparison…
Also wanna add within in China the data and viewer feedback both look pretty good so far but it's super early. Fandoms emphasize whatever charts are in their favour. The average netizen isn't looking at charts unless they're involved in fandoms. The main goal for liuliang dramas is not only good data (because its guaranteed) but also to try and reach general public because high viewership and rankings doesnt automatically mean that the drama is a hit. Anyways I hope people just enjoy everything TBW has to offer and the content we get of our faves, I know I'm glad that our drought is over and we get to see Dilraba in so much content. Rankings, charts dont define TBW, important factors like the acting, scripts, plot development does and so far they are doing amazing in my opinion.
Vinklage weibo no 1 shift ool even though there are xiao zhan and yangzi who can stand against the power of these…
Okay so why are we comparing the two when they are on completely different lists? They are both at first place so why do we need to nitpick on the numbers and what he said, she said about rankings? the drama literally just started, can we all just enjoy it and enjoy all this content we are getting of our faves? lets not obsess over all that because all of them are liuliangs and all of the fandoms are gonna be working on their own data and it doesnt give any indication that one is better than the other. All the actors, actresses and dramas are doing great so far. Period.
