spoiler tagging my response below as discussion of misogyny may be triggering....
This is a list of dramas that imo match the various tropes I listed out. They're ranked not by quality but by my opinion of how many of the points and how well they match. Some dramas on here I loved, some I hated. The placement of dramas on this list is not linked to some moral judgment on my part, good or bad. I make these lists for my own reference and I'm glad if other people find use in them, whether that's to help pick their next watch or to know what to avoid. If nobody else finds it useful, that's fine too. Don't use it, then.
Seems like you specifically dislike Hana Yori Dango? That's your prerogative. The ML in all adaptations does some crazy and violent things to the FL. I do note that in the description. I'm not sure what you wanted from me re: "you don't even qualify it"... I do tag dramas in which (to the best of my knowledge/memory) the MLs do morally questionable or potentially triggering things. with the number 5. For more extensive trigger warnings I suggest you look at the tags on a drama's page. They usually note whether there is assault, obsessive behavior, violence, bullying, etc. Stay safe out there.

No denying that a LOT of tropes in dramas reflect the violently misogynistic world we live in. Sometimes seeing things that are unsafe in the real world reflected in a "safe" environment, ie, where it can't hurt you as it's contained in a screen, is comforting to some gals. Like a way to safely come to terms with a world that is going to be out to hurt you, no matter what. It's comforting to me, at times. Other times I find it disturbing. It's hard to find that line and the line may be in a different place for everyone.
That said, I do feel that it's impossible to consume problematic media and not be affected by it somehow. These themes seep into our subconscious and affect our behavior without our consent or realization, often. So in that sense maybe it CAN hurt you even though it's contained by a screen. Idk. This kind of thinking is what makes these tropes a "guilty" pleasure for me even though I find comfort in it.
In any case, if that's not for you then perhaps you can use this list as a warning system to know what not to watch... and I do also have a list for green flag MLs who actually respect women. You might still disagree with my choices there, but it's at least a better place to start for you.
Just watched My Little Monster (2018) and there's a scene where the FL defends the ML to a group of his fake friends within his earshot. Don't know if you are counting movies for this list though
True! Don't know how I forgot about Lost Romance! I would classify that one as a "FL falls first" drama but once…
It's been a little while since I saw it, too. I do know that she pursues him first in the drama world and loved or at least admired him first in the real world (?) It was complicated, I remember that much.
Yes, I've been checking out your lists haha! Always good to find like-minded drama lovers :)))
What a great list! I would also add Lost Romance. He falls for her hard "in the book", but then the really sweet…

This is such a helpful list, thank you!!! I would add Love Like the Galaxy, the FL actually marries the SML first and there's a strong love triangle (more like a reverse harem really) in season 1.

for those curious about this result's description.
