Okay I definitely get this and agree! I’m fine with her not having romantic feelings for him yet, but I would love to see more of her character development in other regions to compensate. Particularly concerning the way her family/region have reduced her to a champion and thrown her away the moment she wasn’t useful anymore.
See, we are getting much more insight into the ML’s internal struggles with his deception than with hers and…
I see what you’re saying, at this point we see him falling in love but her not as much. Though honestly I’m not having an issue with her developing romantic attachments more slowly. People fall in love at a different pace sometimes, which causes tension in the relationship, but that kind of conflict is more fun to watch imo.
Plus, I would argue that it makes sense that he feels more guilty about manipulating her, since he has no reason to think ill of her. She knows for a fact that he made her lose everything she ever worked for in the tournament, and has good reason to believe he did that through cheating by poisoning her. Besides, he’s manipulating her in order to get revenge, which he wants but doesn’t need. She’s manipulating him because she will die if she doesn’t.
So basically to me it seems justified that she’s not feeling as guilty and not as far along in (or aware of) her romantic feelings.
I need no convincing to watch a time travel transmigration drama... it's going on the list lol especially if the leads are actually communicating well, that's rare
It's interesting that you said you'd only had disappointments with BL and only watched Korean ones. I've been watching more BL and GL lately. Somehow, every single one I've watched that's from Korea has been disappointing. But some of the ones I've watched from China or Thailand have been stellar. It's even worse when you consider that there's way less censorship for Korea so they don't even have an excuse 😅
Semantic Error is high on my PTW list though and I'm hoping it turns out to be an exception just like you said!
Hi there...Thank you for reading my review ♥️Honestly, I was planning to rate this 8-8.5 till ep 8 and somehow…
ha, I haven't watched it, honestly I'm not sure if I will... in part because you make some good points here but also bc it just doesn't seem like it's up my alley.
Sometimes the 12 episode length really works for kdramas (I thought it worked well for pacing in Business Proposal for instance) but in this case what I'm hearing from watchers is that the pacing had serious issues
I see lots of people who like this better than the Korean version but it's nice to know that it also holds up when viewed without the context of the other versions

Yeah I loved her growth and her prickly exterior. She really made the dragon work for it XD
