this reminds me of the old thai drama "lovesick" . love sick is basically a bl and school drama classic. today y'all have so many bl drama and even gl dramas because lovesick started the trend. they made one of the most successful and internationally famous drama. sure if you watch it you might find it cringe or say the acting isn't that good. but a 14-13 year old me, struggling with sexuality and a broken family and also going through my "not like other girls" cringe phase, i found this gem! if you like this, definitely give lovesick a watch

no he has the experiences of a 30 y/o. the way, half drunk, he, semi solved the problem between pisaeng and knot at the bar. and then confessing without stuttering to pear. and every interaction he has with people, it is absolutely that of someone who isn't socially interactive, but has learnt to do it over the years. the director is actually v good. kawi is described as someone who is selfish, self oriented, doesn't have much regard for the world, intrusive overthinker and makes fickle minded choices. but over the 10 years his mentally hasn't changed much due to continuous failures in life. but with mindset and behaviour, an 18 y/o will not be able to do the things he is able to do after coming back. an actual 18 y/o kawi would not have the courage to propose to pear, ask knot and all out for drinks etc. kawi is a typical example of imperfect ppl in their late 20s and early 30s
