basically the king was saying that if they removed him, the qing would take over and be was saying you don't want those "barbarians" to take over and that if he overlooks this, the chief counselor can pick the next heir to the throne from one of the king's sons (except not one specific son). so they came to a truce/political agreement for him to let the king go. I guess he also figures the king wouldn't have much longer to live anyway. although it was 4 more years.

I'm surprised by all the low ratings because I really liked it.

it literally makes no sense how he has committed all these crimes, even faking his dad's death and they expose it in the news and still he has no consequences. but they wanna charge her for fraud and he also committed insurance fraud?? like... the writing pisses me off because it's so illogical. I should prob also give it a 6.5 lol

I'm on ep 94 now and I dropped the rating from a generous 7.5 to 7.0 😭😭 the writing is so annoying! I know its only gonna get worse but I'm almost to the end I need to keep going to mark it compete 🤣

same. I stopped at work 15 and trying to finish it but it's a struggle. it was more interesting in the beginning for me and now I'm just so bored.

its based on prince seo hyun, who was captured by the qing. and the character in my dearest is also based in that same prince so yeah, they're gonna have similarities because it actually happened. then the differences are their fictional liberties.

I personally don't think it takes up much of the drama, although just 2 episodes in. its not like the drama is centered around it. but to each their own.

not incredible but good enough to finish for me. also I do like the ml and fl so that helps. finished at an 8 for me.

I agree. there's no reason to have more than 100 episodes. 100 was more than enough to wrap it up. bad writing leads to dragging it out another 5 eps.
