Meh. To me, this show is trying way too hard to be zany and goofy and slapstick-oddball, but it just comes off…
It was Duean who made the yogurt spoon for Mean, not Pi? They are the other couple.
We only really see Pi interact with Mork and Duean this episode, he was sweet to his mum and to Duean's friends (the gang of four you said he doesn't know, but in episode 1 Duean told Pi to wait at the usual spot at the mall because he's told his kitty gang about him. He was literally expecting Duean's friends to show up.) I don't think his entire personality can be judged based on his interactions with a boy who he's convinced is always tricking him and being mean to him (Mork) as he's been bullied before and has probably never had someone pay attention to him and talk to him as much as Mork does without it being negative attention from a bully. As for his interactions with Duean, brothers always fight and call each other names, but these two have such a realistic and supportive relationship and are obviously very close.
I agree that some of the comedy is over the top, its typical Thai sense of humour, im just thankful that the show swaps between the comedic tone and the more realistic one unlike other BL comedies like YYY. as for your last point, Im pretty sure the reason as to why Mork likes Pi so much is like the main plot of the show lol, They want us to keep thinking about that and so are hardly going to tell us in episode 2, we've been getting hints and we have to try to piece it together from their real life interactions as well as their online ones. We as an audience know that the boy Pi is talking to online is Mork, but he doesn't hence why only half of Mork's face is seen.
To My Star starred a k-pop idol. Se Jin is a stronger actor than In Soo, but all IS has to do is play the "straight…
the leads in to my star are both known as actors, im aware one of them was in a kpop group for like 2 years back in 2013 but he's been a full time actor since? they have a lot more acting experience than many of the other leads in kbl's who are still known are idols first (unless you meant the boy from newkidd who was definitely a background role who had 0 impact on the story tbh)
It is a light hearted romcom and its fine, ive wanted a BL saeguk for the longest, but this show definitely is the most disappointing in most aspects esp the writing which is the weakest so far :/
i dont think in soo is that good at acting... like sorry no hate but why do they keep casting idols in korean bl's instead of actual actors, the time the leads were both actors (to my star) it was the best one with the best chemistry
So the second story is enemies to lovers as well... already seems better than the first one (not hard lmao) Max and Nat are both good actors and Nat has improved a lot since Why R U.
The most frustrating thing about this is that subtitle quality really is TERRIBLE, its like they pick and choose what to translate? theres just so many sentences with no subtitles at all??? i can understand the tiniest bit of thai and even i can realise that the subtitles aren't capturing what the characters say... was someone paid for this?????
oh my goodness some of the adult bl actors should take acting lessons from the baby who plays young nubsib - he is so good! has me in tears how could anyone be mean to that angel
if each couple gets two episodes, shouldn't the first episode have been the hate, then a turning point at the end of the episode 1 and then episode 2 being the development of the relationship into love? why was it done so quickly and badly?
2 episodes length is around the same length as a movie, yes its still shorter lengthwise than a full series but it's still a decent amount of time to tell a story, the only excuse here is poor writing
Just how *much* are BL actors paid? Nubsib drives a BMW SUV, Aoey has this expensively-furnished apartment.
even in real life, celebrities in many countries including the BL actors in Thailand come from well off families (win, tay, off to name a few) and its because having money and a comfortable life already allows you to venture into the arts and do acting for fun at first instead of having to go straight into a 9 to 5 to pay the bills
rly disappointed that this isn't good....its good quality, has an AMAZING run time (60 mins? yes pls) and I love…
also why are they lying in bed sick so much? was there really no other ways of getting together the writer could think of? once, ill forgive it i do quite like the trope but not when its like 3 times of them being sick or pretending to be sick in 1 episode
i actually really do feel now that the director and actors are trying to work around such a bad, bad script
rly disappointed that this isn't good....its good quality, has an AMAZING run time (60 mins? yes pls) and I love enemies to lovers, its my favourite trope
but it's not done well, first, i don't understand why they hated each other in the beginning, there was no proper reason and it feels so shallow.. THEN there's just a 180 change in the relationship that again, is out of nowhere. this show seems to think enemies to lovers is just having two characters shout at each other whilst being ridiculously close to the others' face (this whole episode in a nutshell) whereas actually, the best part about enemies to lovers is the tension, the pining and then as the characters get closer, they begin to see each others' worlds and understand one another... this had none of that. the whole relationship was so ridiculous lmfao
other things, the subtitles/translations were poor quality and there were portions without subs, even the big moment after they "kissed" wasn't subbed for like 3 whole sentences (tho im thankful that they did try to subtitle it for us inter fans) and also it's really clear these boys are both rookie actors.... it was quite awkward, like sorry they are both cute but... i wasn't buying it (we haven't seen much of Chap's acting in Lovely Writer but I already think he did much better in that show than here...)
sigh.. anyway such a pretty looking show, such poor writing and character development
does anyone else think this weird way of releasing episodes is going to seriously effect the shows' popularity? no one is going to know about this if its not on any legal international streaming sites for longer
