line up is perfect, just not for you, I would not call it weak just because there's not trainees u cheer for.…
it's not the individual trainees but dynamics that i found weak, i find a mix of personalities/ages/nationalities more interesting on the show, its a personal preference and fine if you found the mix good. anyway, in my original comment, i said the theme was weak which i stand by and I actually felt sorry for the trainees on episode 3 because of how some episodes had this huge budget with elaborate theme and set designs but ep 3 was quite basic and a lot of the clues etc were pointless (as ren yinpeng said on today's ep 5) - I am not being mean towards the trainees??? or looking down on them? some of them are in my picks that i vote for everyday - other people's criticisms were not because of the trainees either. You have the wrong idea about my comment completely.
my biggest problem with this show (not counting the dubious stepbrother plot) is that it undermines the viewers…
My issue is not about the cliche plots they have chosen, i like cliche and there are ways to tell them well. My problem in this show is the WAY they are being told. The characters repeat things over and over and will say unnatural sounding things just to remind us as the audience that something plainly obvious is happening
i just can't believe this is the same HiStory that i've loved for all these years.... and I can't believe they…
my biggest problem with this show (not counting the dubious stepbrother plot) is that it undermines the viewers intelligence, we are force fed the plots and the same points are repeated over and over as though we'll forget them? there is 0 subtlety lmao
i just can't believe this is the same HiStory that i've loved for all these years.... and I can't believe they cancelled the Crossing The Line movie to make this..... what a loss
It may be because Lin Pei Yu (who has written We Best Love) wrote most of HIStory - hers were the most popular…
Wow that is so interesting, thank you for explaining it in such a detailed way.
I definitely agree that Trapped is the most popular History story, Crossing The Line also is extremely successful considering it's a bit older and didn't air during the BL popularity boom that has been happening internationally since 2019.
i think Trapped helped boost the History name, so more people were watching MODC from the start, and of course most enjoyed it until the last few episodes. The apparent fame was likely because more people were talking about MODC on social media than ever before, but this wasn't due to people loving the series, it was due to the outrage at the ending.
This doesn't feel like the other history series at all, We Best Love seems to have taken that feeling/vibe completely. Close to you seems more like a sitcom and is at times ridiculous but i'm going to give it a chance and see how it develops
I loved episode 1 & 2 but couldn't finish the 3rd one... the lineup and theme seemed weak compared to the others - Episode 4 lineup looks better, excited to see Caelan and Riki :) BUT where is Bo Yuan's episode for real
