This is a great Lakorn, so much better than the first part of the series. Acting and story was wonderful. Chemistry of main leads & supporting couples and their side stories were good. Didn’t feel bored, although at times the FL’s mother was infuriating. ML is a sweetheart such a green green flag. Wish there was bit more romance between leads…now waiting for the third installment- synopsis looks interesting too.

I love this drama. If there was ever a green flag ML surely this character will be in the top 5..he’s loyal, loving, caring, trustworthy & committed!!! think the actor portrayed it well too. I enjoyed the drama, but in the latter part there was cliched drama elements of thrid party influencing their relationship etc etc! The FL was independent, strong and totally in love with ML- ..the pace they fell in love was realistic too - not dragging it long like some other drama’s. I would totally recommend this drama- it should be give at least 8/10.
I would have given it higher, if not for the cliched Love triangle or quad with the 3rd & 4th one being vicious etc. out to break up the leads. For those interested there are some misunderstandings and a minor breakup and it’s HE guys- would love to see them get married which was not shown. etc etc. (it’s not a breakup “break up”- watch it and you will understand)

Thanks I finished reading the BOOK. I love the male character, but very sad we don’t get to see his perspective much in the story. Agreed the translator did a brilliant job, I like how the footnotes explained some of the terms that were unique to the Chinese society. For me sometimes the female character is a bit over dramatic & chaotic, but towards the end there was good character development…though I have to admit the fact that she was brilliant at her job was a big winner. I notice that female leads beauty is such a recurring theme- isn’t beauty in the eye of the beholder?? I think Dylan Wang would be such a perfect fit for the role, I reserve my judgment for Bai Lu yet….only after the series is completed will watch!!
I wonder whether there is another book for Shi Yan’s niece- her story would be a good read too!! Do kindly suggest such novels if you know. Thanks.
True the previews for the new episodes are indeed sad, why has this drama become too melodramatic…i sincerely hope this drama doesn’t have a sad ending..

Yeah the forever love ML bodyguard also look good. The one in this drama too, story is also but similar. Forever love was my first mini series ( not a big fan of mini drama)- but I really enjoyed these two dramas.
OMG i wish the episodes were bit longer. Sizzling chemistry between the leads! The Male lead looks so hot, I don’t think I have seen any of his drama’s - kinda reminds me of the Korean Star Woo Do Hwan. Acting of the Main Leads and supporting actors were excellent. I think so far out of all Chinese dramas I have watched (which is a lot) this series definitely has the best kisses between the leads!
I wish all her stories had English translations…loved Hidden love (translation)- I understand this is a trilogy there are 3 books (first frost and something else). If anyone knows an online link for the stories do kindly share. Thanks.
