Oh! And something that I've just remembered: do you know that pictures that every drama release about the characters connections?! The first one, DH and JA connection was red, the same as Yoon Hee and Joon Yeong!
Oh I read someone saying when My Ahjussi was on air, that people were being hypocritical because of Goblin... but I know that when Goblin was on air, Korean Netizens were aganist :x So, I think international viewers tend to like Goblin more. And I totally agree with you, like 3ep and the girl was already saying that she loves him... I was like: "hmmm try harder. not convincing!" I do have to say that I don't like Goblin's writer and her other dramas... she is always trying to put an interesting subject, but in the end was all about too much romance (u can also not agree with me). This happens with DOTS and Mr.Sunshine, I just can't stand her anymore haha.
I agree, My Mister was gradually... wasn't there at the beginning but after they've known each other, their connection... and their weakness, was like almost impossible not to love. Hahah well, I watched back then, 1year and I still can't get over... but ofc, the impact on me won't be the same for the rest.

I tried to find for you but I couldn't... was almost a year ago, sorry :( but she wrote the script 3 years before (I think was even before Another Oh Hae Young)... so, she had a story, she wrote it, she kept it hidden for a while, but when it was supposed to be executed, came all the controversy (age gap , IU etc) so she had to change some stuff (if u know what I mean) because people were trying to boycott My Ahjussi. Imagine: the IU (Lolita controversy) plus the romance with a 20y older guy? Korean netizens would have been nuts.
I've never seen a drama which the noona romance was forced (but the one that I can recommend is "Secret Love Affair" one of my favs)... I simply think people just like to hate... Because they love to love sick relationships BUT it's with the same age gap so it's ok?! But when comes to a beautiful relation that Ji An has with Dong Hoon, can't be! They prefer to think them as a father-daughter relationship! And I agree this happens in real life a lot, so what's the problem? I have notice that Koreans don't bother with noona romance but with ahjussi romance is just a BIG NO.
Let's start! I'm watching as well xD "dominated the "My Mister" comment section" LMAO I'm THAT shameless xD I'm also trying to stop going there to make a comment hahaha is like an addiction!
There is! It is down to the minimum but the main couple is still so incredibly cute. The minimal romance goes…
@Duncan just the same!! 99% of the dramas I watch the romance is not the main subject... and I thought that they wouldn't put them together as a romantic pair... man idk why I never thought about the possibility before the drama started! But when they meet and she gets intrigued by this guy who treats her as a very common person... I saw her eyes man! was love! T_T on mine too, I guess :x
Possessed is his second so, won't be difficult to watch all of his dramas haha xD Yeah, is nice to know someone who thinks the same! Oh thanks, I try to support him in every way I can x)
@ShoujoDude I love Song Sae Byok so much (since My Mister), started watching this drama bc of him (and bc... OCN ofc) but I get a little bit sad when some people say almost like "dramas has to have handsome male leads"... anyways, I agree with what you have said and all Kang Pil Sung's qualities makes him interesting and handsome, at least for me, (but I don't usually watch for appearances... the story needs to be good man!) and their chemistry is soooo precious!
You're a looking through a very small window here. Even if she has died at the end, she was able to meet him again. Her son that thought that never received love, realized that he has been loved all along... and this can help him to make amends to his wife and son. The wife was able to take care of her as she wanted and listen to some kind words from HJ, that gave her some comfort. So for me, she died in peace even though with the Alzheimers (and what he brings). As she said, her life was filled with sad events, but she had lots of beautiful memories as well.
one of the many things that confused me until the end was "how much of it was real and how much was fake?"...…
I'm saying about the story "layout" that they show us at the beginning is fake. I'm saying like: I know that when she "turns" old she is there but calling everyone differently, creating situations that never exited, etc. But we have a proper dimension of what is happening only when she says she has Alzheimers.
As I said here: "That story was just a confused mix of her life (as a teen, as a woman and an old lady)... " Se mixed and created a new one. Anyways.
one of the many things that confused me until the end was "how much of it was real and how much was fake?"...…
Omg you couldn't get it! at all! hahahaha Everything was fake until she woke up and said: I have Alzheimer's. That story was just a confused mix of her life (as a teen, as a woman and an old lady)... for exemple: she couldn't avoid her son to suffer that accident and she suppressed this fact because she needed to work, to have money, to survive etc, so in her dream, she was trying to save her "father" at all costs.
And about looks: Joon Ha and the Doctor: just a coincidence...some people do look alike, 7bi people in this world, some more that have died already... not a problem from my pov. And her grandson is even better to explain: it happens to a uncle look like his nephew more than the kid's parents.
I'm astonished by you, really haha because we have some dramas in common: My Mister, Mother, Memory and Live. So strange your pov in my opinion hahah.
And if this isn't solid, idk what it is?! A 40yo Eugene who never kissed or have sex w the girl he loves? That 3 men have died because of a girl? At that time? hahaha
And I really think that he divorced his wife (maybe just not legally). Throught this whole year, I came across…
Indeed means "comfortable"! she tells that to DH, "Ji" = reach and "An" = comfortable... that's why he asks her if she has reached a comfortable place, at the end. I thought that it was so cute haha.
Some people say that her first "yes" was answering the literal question, and the second, because now she met him again, so she is kinda "complete", idk what to think about this one haha I can only hold on to that dinner that she wants to pay, after he grabbed her hand (for the first time ever) for 30sec haha.

Idk if you know it, but DH was supposed to have an actual affair with JA (more than a emotional one, at least), but the writer changed because u know... Korean netizens. So I do believe with all my being that the writer and director wanted to let some subtle hints....everywhere.
I didn't know as well, someone posted that out and I google it and yes, means friendship. Awesome right? We don't need to watch a drama with tons of dialogues or someone saying: oh I brought you flowers to seal our friendship, as we can see it in so many clichés dramas... they just picked yellow roses, that way they can delivery what they want, and yet, saying nothing.

"A man that doesn't need me doesn't have an appeal" I was trying to remember this one haha. Idk, I think she meant it, but she knows that's not quite that bc there's other factors. And yes, I believe that for everything in life we have: timing and feeling. Indeed wasn't the right time and they knew it. And that scene where he goes beat on the loan shark... I though: if this isn't real love, idk what it is. haha
Monk: To settle the past. I know that when a person decides to become a monk, he can't come back to visit his loved ones... so he couldn't visit his parents house or even Jung Her to apologize... it sucks because she could never receive a proper "I'm sorry" from him and this why was so hard for her to move on. He went to apologize and to say to her that she needs to be happy without him. DH knew his intentions and bought yellow roses which means "friendship". And that's it.
I finished watching it today. This drama was the deepest. I love it and it was perfect. I took so many life lessons…
And I really think that he divorced his wife (maybe just not legally).
Throught this whole year, I came across with lots of people only looking from PDH perspective, while Yoon Hee's was pretty much discard... cheating was horrible and I personally hate it, but she fell in love with another man while being married, this indicates that something was very wrong. She wanted a man that can put her and their family first, but PDH prioritizes his family, second the neighborhood, and THIRD his family. Must have been hard for her (not defending her, just showing facts). So she didn't wanted to live like this anymore... she is a modern woman, an excellent advocate, she has all the balls to call it quits (if he hasn't).
Although, I want to remind you of something, on PDH Mother's birthday she said that wanted to die in peace, seeing her 3 sons happy and MARRIED with their spouses. That's why PDH is still married, in my pov. He is waiting for the right time, before his mother passes away. At least for now (on the time of the drama).

She said to him (the last bar scene), that she didn't wanted a man that doesn't want to see her (he avoided Jung See's bar almost the whole time while she was there, I kinda get it, for me, he was afraid to let his feelings to come out). She knew that he couldn't divorce (is some kind of force beyond his reach), so she prefers to go to another city and live a life without him, she wants to start afresh, where no one knows her past, to know how a normal person lives. And PDH thought that his life would go back "on track" before that, but what he didn't know was the fact that his wife couldn't be with him anymore, so she goes to live abroad. Because of that last conversation with Ji An and he treated her that way, I think that he couldn't call her out of nothing, she needed to call, but she thought that he was still married (remember the conversation between PDH and his brother Ki Hoon, where he asks PDH if the girl has called, and he said "why would she call me?"). I think some pride issues was blocking them, but I like to think that they let the future bring them together again, with no worries, pressure, in a better condition and so on.
Monk's question? Which one?
Yu Ra x Ki Hoon > I think he has some complex being a cleaner despite his pride and his hot temper, also a fear of fail again. He said that she needed to date someone inside the industry, but she didn't wanted bc she wanted him, BUT at the same time, she was pressuring him to write again! so they were fighting over this and the relationship got unbearable despite the love that they felt for each other. But at the end, after a year, we can witness Ki Hoon writing again and he is going back to the industry, meaning what? Yeah, exactly!
