Without her he would be long dead though, bleeding out on street. there's even a chance he could've been shot by ruotong, or he could have chosen different life if she didn't motivate him at hospital. She liked him from the first moment, his father's treatment toward her gave her a feeling of family which enhanced it. But she still helped both of them whenever needed, she had bitter heart seeing them together because of her unrequited love but she never had any ill feelings against being them together.
