I love love love it!!!!! I loveeeee their chemistry and it made me cry buckets. I though Mr. Sunshine and MoonLovers Ryeo would be the last dramas I'd shed a tear but I was mistaken. This has got to be one of the purest, heart-wrenching and REAL portrayals of love and sacrifice. I can only wish for someone like YingYuan/Tangzhou to land on my lap one day. My heart feels full; I kinda feel sad knowing this drama would end but I'm so thankful for it brought me joy.

I actually liked her a lot at first. I wanted to be as confident & lively. But then she only wanted to attract and still have her bf which is so greedy of her. She's such a pick-me to me.

I honestly still root for Taewan after stirring the pot. hyogi has anger issues and lacks respect; best girl yunseul deserves better: I can't imagine how she continued to make up with him for 500+ days.

Took her 134872 years. If it were me, my patience would have gone out by ep 5 but Jiyu is such a graceful queen; I admire her for that!

Not Jeonghan tho. He's a chill king who deserves better. Literally drama-free and respectful. And I pity Yunseul having an immature bf that would just lash out. Taewan changed for the better and I'm so happy for him. Jiyu is always crying about her bf that behaves like a cheater,,, TT

I feel bad for Yunseul. I understand how she appears more rigid and not touchy-feely. Among all the girls, she's so composed & doesn't look desperate. I respect her for that. Others would jump headfirst to flirting w guys and I get embarrassed for them.

Taewan, Yunseul, Jeonghyun and Jiyu are the only ones I can support after today's eps. They seem to be less problematic.

I was hesitating about this but it kept popping on my fyp page and omg I'm glad I picked it up. Currently on Part 1 episode 25 🥰

I just realized that the lead is the Henry Lau I've been listening to and I'm still processing his shirtless scene my poor heart 😱

Miss Jianggang and Bi Nu deserved so much better (T_T)

I was starting to feel bad for Hyeyeon too. I thought she had some redeeming points but as of ep 9, I'm understanding Tae wan more.

First off what say do you have on the reason i decide to watch this? Is it wrong to watch a show becuase you want to destress? Its like you know how I am supposed to react. Mind telling me how since you know so much?
Not everyone is like you as an audience and you should be mindful of that. I respect that you prefer other genres aside from romance better. As someone who seeks that though, i stumbled upon this show as it is categorized as one. I gave it a try and saw from ep 1 to19 it was more political/bullying stepmom/crime fighting than romance. Is it wrong for me to express what I thought let me down? Im not downright disliking it. I have seen 3 other dramas with Lusi (Romance of Tiger and Rose, Love better than Immortality & Oh My Emperor). You tell me what you think is wrong with me and why the reason I picked this show seems to bother you.

Bro what do you mean? I was agreeing with you. Meaning Cdramas has been copied by foreigners. Whats "not right"? I listed elements of historical wuxia that I like which happen to have a stark resemblance to Alchemy of Souls. As a fan of both Cdrama and Kdrama its cute that AoS is like a hybrid but at the same time netizens shouldnt claim or downgrade cdramas impact such as Eternal Love/10 mi of Peach Blossom

Yeah shes been aeound since the beginning. But the leads were always being dutiful in their own place: ML being prince and FL being a member of the sect. They were always crime fighting & worrying about others and chasing after ambition (which to an extent is a good thing) but couple that with too much screen time for the conniving stepmother Baili & annoying halfbrother Feng Ju always getting im the way, romance felt more like a subgenre. I get that this is historical so theres got to be more patience and build up for the foundation of their relationship but they couldve at least held hands and kissed way earlier than they did. All i got was longing stares so i had to start skipping. Mind you, i was on Ep 19 before i started skipping. My single self needed to see cutesy romance and i dont see any wrong in that as it was advertised as such.

Yeah. The cute scenes was when she rescued him after he drowned, him always rescuing her in her predicaments, and when they went to Old Taijin to master the Sacred Moon Jade. I must admit it touched my heart when he said "Of 3000 worries, must it matter if I keep one of them? Let it be bound to me forever."
And thats up till ep 19. I skipped to 25 to 35 to end.
I really didnt like sitting through his stepmom Baili plotting against him (ML) and after watching a lot of historical wuxia cdramas, court politics start to bore me and so I just wanted for them to have had more cute moments. In my opinion, there was so much cast being introduced and plots layered over each other than it appeared messy in my point of view but that must not be the case for you. We are 2 different audiences.
