Exaclty!! Cdramas are yhe standard!!

The comments give me hope. I need me all those romance and cliche tropes. Give it to me! I just finished Who Rules the World and man do they barely have any romantic scenes. Finally a light hearted historical show to ease the stress. Often I watch shows to ease the stress and NOT to be stressed of the shows plot. This looks promising to me basing off the feedback of fellow watchers. Would comment again after I finish :)

Update my fellow watchers: i finally finished with a lot of skipping :"") i went from ep 19 to 25 to 35 to end lol. i just skip if the scene isnt the main leads hehe dont got patience aint no way im sitting through that. Maybe i lacked appreciation but i dont see the point of a hurtful story in this dreadful reality. I started this hoping i'll momentarily relax and escape IRL day to day scenarios but I found myself more stressed at the story line with barely any romance lol sorry if i sound rude or critical im just overreacting i guess

I watched Lusi's Romance of Tiger and Rose + Love Better than Immortality and thought her voice naturally changed as the years went by but it was DUBBED?!?!? Idk why when shes fluent born and raised there?

Right! More screen time with Minister Feng Qi Wu than the actual FL Bai Fengqi/Princess Qiyun. ML is always attending to palace politics with QiWu and FL is like a side character popping here and there just to remind us that shes FL

Please tell me where the romance begins and ill skip to that episode cuz im on 19 and ive been so patient but like none whatsoever made my heart flutter

Cdramas set the standard for historicals in my humble opinion. Look at Scarlet Heart Ryeo, it was adapted from cdrama Dreaming Back to xing dynasty (or was it ming i forgot which lol) Cdramas does imperial harem and plottig/conniving/trampling on the leads better. and theres the kung fu that originated in China and all the mystical elixirs/pills/sacred manual technique/qi flow etc they talk about

Right! Im feeling the urge to drop it but im already on EP 19. Ive been watching this for a whole week now. Im looking for romantic scenes that makes my heart flutter but sadly all they do is stare at each other and FL avoids talking about it with ML. It's like I was lured in thinking I would get to see all these cute scenes when up till now its all about court politics and the evil villain always plotting against the ML. All that takes up his screen time that it doesn't feel like a romance at all. The title is very fitting but they should take off the romance genre tag as it is very misleading. It might get cute but I was robbed of time. If someone is looking for romance best bet to skip ahead. Ive been sitting here up till EP 19 and get nothing.

I'm on episode 19 already but theres no progression to their romantic relarionship. ALREADY halfway thru and Bai Fengxi hasnt revealed her real identity. Its so bland when it comes to romance because the conniving Empress always has something against the ML. All the leads do is stare at each other here and there. Sometimes, the FL looks like a cameo person at this point. In the beginning I thouroughly enjoy this and look forward to the progression of the story but watching it now feels like an ardous task just to get it done and over with. since I see high ratings and good reviews i thought itd be worth it. I skip for the most part if its a scene other than the leads. I think my heart fluttered more in Mr. Sunshine compared to this. The leads barely get screentime TOGETHER. Theyre barely alone together. Always something is up like MLs duties. I dont know if I could hang on any longer.

I find it ironic how one of the most prettiest actresses of China like her and Dilmurat are of Uyghyur decent when there are rumors of their government having camps that k1LL them. correct me if i am mistaken but weren't they tryna replicate n4z1 camps?? I know that actresses/actors can't speak out bec who knows what their government would do to them, right??

RIGGGHTT?!?!? Correct me if I am mistaken.... but for now,, with only the first ew episodes,, I got a hunch. For me, after seeing some of Ok Taec Yeon projects, it would be weird if he is just a side character in a drama like this. He is a star that hasn't quite lost its luster. His light ain't dimming just yet. It would make sense and come full circle if he is the mysterious evil guy hiding behind a good façade.

just finished ep 3 and yup,, there is chemistry!! but yeahhh, some fans like me, ship real people in cases like DOTS and CLOY (yay! BinJin couple is confirmed!!) But I merely think they would look good together and if it does happen irl then yeheyyy
