Are Six Flying dragons and Deep Rooted Tree related, and if they are, how? Which one should i watch first? I haven't…
It possibly because of the writers, both are historical dramas and both tackles about politics, scheming, warriors and swords, changing of dynasty, and a beginning of a new era, in QSD Deokman becomes Queen Seon Deok and in SFD Lee Bang Won becomes King Taejong, aside from that as I mentioned earlier, some characters were mentioned from QSD, but other than that, SFD is a stand alone drama. You can understand it without watching QSD or Deep Rooted Trees.

I don't understand your question though. Queen Seon Deok is a different drama, they are not related though there was a time that Bidam and Shilla were mentioned but that's it, they are two different dramas set up in two different eras.
just finished the drama. First I would say, the drama's excitement did slow down after episode 12. Now recalling about it, the events that took place were all over the place, it was fast paced but loses that spark, you know I love fast paced dramas (mostly Jdramas do well with that), but this one, it was done weakly. Anyhow, with all its flaws, I still love this drama big time. The ending, maybe due to spoilers, I wasn't surprised at all, and I feel like it was just right. Leave Wang So in Goryeo, have Hae Soo in present times, its just what Jimong says, that's just putting things back into its right place. I have watched the C-BBJX before, I loved that drama, it introduced me to chinese historical dramas, and I admit their story is more compelling than Moon Lovers, everything was neatly done and you somehow understand every choices they made. My qualms in that drama was the romance part, and the enjoyment and endearment I felt towards the characters and that I felt with Scarlet Heart. I loved all the cast in the korean version, from Lee Jun Ki (Im a big fan), IU (i really like her as Hae Soo, no matter what anyone says, she is Hae soo, and yes, her acting was fine with me), Jung and Baek Ah, Wang Yo, Eun and Wook. There's something about the cast that droves me in to love the drama even more despite its flaws. The love story was more compelling here also, though yes I wish they should have explained more the deatails about HaeSoo and Wang Soo's decision towards their relationship. The one that got me teary in the end was Jung aka Jisoo's untold love to HaeSoo, that breaks my heart. Over all, a great drama for me, I would've liked to be Hae Soo one day, to love and be loved greatly.

Watch Six Flying Dragons, that is everything. Then you decide if you would want to watch Deep Rooted Tree, I tried watching hat drama many times already in the past, way before SFD, but it was unsuccessful. That drama just donest have that appeal to me. Six Flying Dragons on the other hand is one of the best kdramas out there.
I liked it. The ending got me kicking, Gong Yoooooo!!!!
Yeah, she left her family, everything she has in korea she left them and went to start anew, hoping one day, she'll meet him again and possibly, be with him, sadly though, he never knew anything about it. That's why the ending got me kicking. If he knew that she loved him and treasured him to the point of giving up even his marriage and family, would he run to her and be with her instead? Dang.
I know this is strange to ask... but... can someone compare this to "W" and let me know if it's better?…
It was good but after wathcing a few 10+ episodes, you will get tired and bored. I just finished it but skipped so much scenes especially the lovey dovey scenes of Yang Ynag and Zheng Shuang, it seems too redundant for me and nothing is really happening. I just watched the scenes with interactions from Yang Yangs friends and other relevant events. W is better, but not that great also, though you cant compare since both have different genres.
1. Meteor Garden (It was such a huge sensation in my country and I have watched it 10+ times, DAO MING SI is the man here) F4's friendship and that great love for Sanchai
2. Hana Yori Dango (I love it, its so full of emotions that you can almost feel it, especially with Makino, and I agree, Tsukasa is a great portrayal of Matsumoto, no one can beat him in that area)
3. Lets Go Watch Meteor Shower (Its a tie with BOF actually but this drama actually for me is better)
1. Fated to Love You (tw)
2. Fated To Love You (korean)
1. ISWAK (tw)
2. It started with a kiss (Japan)
3. Playful Kiss (I could not finish it)
3. Boys Over Flowers (I just simply could not relate to it, After watching MG & Hanadan, I found this too over the top)
1. You're Beautiful (Its the best version among the three)
2. Ikemen Desu Ne
Fabulous Boys (I haven't finished the drama though)
To add some:
1.Proposal Daisakusen (Japan, my all time fave drama)
2. Operation Proposal (simply cannot live up to the Japan version)
1. In Time With You (TW, one of the best TW's drama's/asian drama-Li Da Ren!!!)
2. The Time We Were In Love (I could not finish it, it lacked something and HJW could not save the drama)
I watched everything on your list but sadly, I dropped Ouran after watching about 2-3 episodes. If you want a real good laugh, watch Hana Kimi, if you want to watch some real good bonds, watch Gokusen, if you want to watch real good friendship, watch Nobuta wo Produce. Honestly these are on my top list but above them is Nobuta wo Produce. Its such a great drama, it made me cry a bucket at the end though.
to add to that:
My Boss My Hero (comedy)
Life (a great drama also)
Proposal Daisakusen (a great drama, more on love story but still set in school somehow)
35 sai ko haha (lol, I forgot the title)
I'm watching it atm, I'm on episode 11. I'm loving it. Yang Yang has been on my fave list since watching Whirlwind Girl and I don't have a problem with Zhen Shuang (I have a soft spot on her since one of my first self downloaded chinese drama is Lets Go Watch Meteor Shower). Well, I was really looking forward when I first heard them being paired, Yang Yang and Zhen Shuang, however, posters and the synopsis seems boring to me, thus I skip it and waited for some positive reviews. Then you know, even though it had a higher ratings in mydramalist and other websites, I still doubt it, but hey, last week, I have given it a try since I always stumble it on every drama site Im in. The result? It was good, I feel like an idiot smiling the whole time, especially on episode 10 (Im still on ep11) lol. The friendship among the boys is what I admire the most, and of course, Yang Yangs beauty as the long haired warrior in that game. Zheng Shuang's voice is dubbed though but I guess Yang Yang's original? It was the same voice with the whirlwind girl. ***Im so excited to watch for more***
Is it better than the original ? Should I start watching this drama now or after all the episode are released…
have you watched the original? No one can say if its better or not since it hasn't ended yet, were too early to say however, I can tell since I have watched the original version that this Lee Jun Ki starrer is a bit different, they're on a different approach though some elements are maintained, however, I am super enjoying it. I might love it more than the original, though the chinese version made me lose some sleep, it was that good but kinda long.
I want to rate it 8, but since i dropped this after ep14, I 'm rating it 7. The story lacks spice, it was just there, a drama set in a hospital, but thats just it. Kim Rae Won though, I dont like his character. It feels like his trying hard to act cool and all, plus the age gap with him and PSH, i just cant. And I dont know if its jus me but his pronunciation is a bit off, different, I cant explain it, or may be it was part of his acting, you know the way he talks, his approach, and you know, it didn't suit his image in the drama, I just can't get what image is he trying to sell in their, over-all it failed to impress me and I might not want to say it but, he is one of the other reasons I am dropping the drama, aside from the story it self. PSH was ok here though but nothing special comes with this drama.
Yoon Kye Sang made me watch the drama and the cast/story made me stay. It was a mature yet very engaging drama. The vibe and the over all feels was in tact from start to finish, no cringy moments, just raw and pure talents and acting. No draggy moments, always on the spot and bam!!! it ended. <just wish there were more romance, lol>.

3. Boys Over Flowers (I just simply could not relate to it, After watching MG & Hanadan, I found this too over the top)
1. Zettai Kareshi (simply the best)
2. Absoulte Boyfriend (its awful, idk)
1. You're Beautiful (Its the best version among the three)
2. Ikemen Desu Ne
Fabulous Boys (I haven't finished the drama though)
