Whenever I start to watch a new drama, I always try my best to remove all my previous impression on all the casts and director.. then after watching and finished it(or after I drop it in some cases), I try put all my impressions again together 😅
I started doing that after realizing that even those who are really good actors & directors get messy with a plot or production that isn’t good for them..
Thus, it’ll be better to see the drama holistically.. if all blends well together..

in this drama, I’d say I find this really good.. one of my favorites.. I am not a fan of the ML or FL but this drama is one of those that will make you fall in love ♥️

my heart pains for him too, but then I think it is still reasonable (and light, thanks to the comedy in it).. the fact that he had stabbed YH too many times, and rejected her love proposals, and yet YH remained understanding and supportive of him, makes it reasonable to have this conflict for now.. let’s give YH time to heal.. what’s important is YH obviously have TY on her heart..

but have you seen her pinned comment? looking at the time stamp it means she posted it after watching today’s ep.. she’s not watching it until and will just let a friend watch it for her - for now..

yes, please prepare your heart.. but don’t worry, the comedy in this drama will save you from crying..

I think AvenueX is kinda prejudice on this drama because of the author’s reputation.. can’t blame her, there could have been dramas she really liked that went downhill because of this author.. but then again, for me, it’s too early to roast this drama.. I personally got my heart broken from the recent episodes, but still within reasonable extent, so I’m still on it.. we don’t really expect an all sunshine and rainbows kind of drama - not having a right dose of conflicts will be too boring to even watch.

the next eps after that are just fine, and the trailers look promising..

though it wasn’t too heart crushing because of the comedy scenes, the fact that TY was already at the point where he just want what’s best for YH - even when it hurts like crazy (to the point of being a matchmaker), is still heartbreaking.. if this isn’t a rom-com, I could already have shed a lot of tears

thinking about today’s ep,

though I can’t answer most of your questions (coz I don’t really remember what episode is this and that), I’d say just give it a shot.. watch it.. The romance here is not the cake, it is just an icing on it.. I’m only interested in romantic happy ending dramas, and surprisingly, this one got me hooked and I just found myself even waiting for the next episodes (I don’t usually watch ongoings).. It’s very hard for me to recover from heartbreaking endings.. This one is good and has a happy ending 😉

I was kinda annoyed while watching the last 2 episodes.. not because of the story, but because iQIYI - the ads popping up in the middle after I pause (to give me time to read the subs 😅coz some are too fast & some too long).. when I press again to play, I always hit the ads and my browser opens.. ugghh

this makes more sense.. I was actually thinking the writer ended the trail to NGF & didn’t link it to Prince Fu just to make a strong point why Prince Fu trusted YX and let him go to Nandu instead (last 2 eps)..
I missed thinking about the real life safety of the writer 😅

it did happen after all.. I get your point here, yeah for most dramas.. but specifically on this one, it wasn’t that bad..

I think JB didn’t die (or I’m just on denial stage).. someone stepped over him and blood burst - could be Yanan came in time (killed the one who’s about to kill JB) thus the blood gushed.. She can cure the poison, so I guess he’s alive with his sword - as they never found the body & the sword..
