So, I watched this yesterday and I still don’t understand. I even tried looking for explanations on tiktok,…
In general the book they (believe to have) transmigrated into from the 'real world' is already about a person who transmigrated - so there are two types of transmitgrators there: a) book level (already inside the story and thought to be limited in their actions due to being part of the plot); b) extra level (unrelated to the story, got into the book with the knowledge it's a book and at least partially aware of the conventions, most importantly - fully self aware and not controlled by the plot).
So whoever is category B is gonna be superior but there is a lot of self doubt in our main cast abt whether they are truly B or maybe A.
Basically speaking, A category do not exists outside the book so it's a scary thought to consider yourself purely a character (2D) while someone else might be an actual person (3D).

Its happy ending according to novel Wei zhao escapes through secret tunnel and recurrepts himself for 5 years…
I literally told you the real novel ending (which u asked abt), not some fanfic or "oh it'd be lovely if' story. Nothing I wrote here was about the drama which is a different cultural text and cannot be considered more or less reliable than the novel as these two stories are essentially separate.

I do encourage you to read the novel tho as it's pretty good and should answer all your questions abt the novel plot. Just remember to avoid AI-generated summaries as these often produce content that has nothing to do with the real story.

I'm pretty sure that in the novel Pei Yan married Dong Juan and CL realized that on the PY's wedding night so they definitely did not meet after that. In a way, both CL and JC are left without their original intended lovers so it would not be that unusual for their relationship to shift.

You can read the novel here: https://mydramanovel.com/love-of-nirvana/

Pei Yan does not meet JC's kid (Xiao Yao) till XY is around 19ish so I'm not sure where you're getting that from. It's Cui Liang who has the most contact with JC and XY (he visits them every now and then) and XY actually calls CL "Papa." At the very end of the epilogue (when XY is around 4) we're told that CL intends to visit more regularly and be there every Lunar New Year which is a rather open "we're a family" statement. While there is no conclusive info on whether CL and JC end up being involved romantically, families are more than just married couples (tho tbh the two def deserve happiness).
Final lines from the Epilogue:

>Cui Liang held the teacup, the rising tea fragrance refreshing. Yes, after walking so much, why not rest for this winter? Or perhaps, it’s time to settle down—

He lifted his head and gazed at Jiang Ci, who sat quietly under the candlelight, embroidering a child’s apron. Listening to the faint sounds of the wind outside, his wandering heart suddenly settled in that moment. He softly called out, “Xiao Ci.”
“Hmm.” Jiang Ci looked up and smiled.

“From now on, I’d like to spend the New Year here every year, if that’s alright with you?”<

That's... not true. Novel has a hint of someone else helping JC with the kid and possibly preparing to form a family with the two but it's not WZ/XW.

I'm on ep 4 and REALLY trying to love it but the plot/script is just not doing it for me. More of a casual watch than a 'can't wait till next episode' thing.

I like the cast (both leads and support actors) so atm I'm watching mostly for them which is quite disappointing. Hopefully it'll get better later?

worry not ..... he is gonna to help ML in further eps
I have a rule "can't blame parents for your toxicity at 25+"** And however I count, he's definitely around 30ish when we see him scheme his way around. And even if we discard the way he treats FL, I can't stand the way he's with well, basically everyone else. He is yet to see people around him as humans worth of being alive and treated with respect. I'm watching this with a friend and every time PY is on the screen I whineeeeee xD

** partially cause I married and then divorced a person who was into 'i'm treating u like that cause of my parents so it's not my fault' - red flags are red flags for a reason meh

I'm on ep 31 and there is nothing he can do in the future (9 eps?) to redeem himself. He might be the worst character I've ever seen in any cdrama - the paragon of toxic masculinity and gendered/class-based priviledge. Worst still that the show is trying to portray him as a grayish & complex "oh he has his reasons" dude. Yep, his reasons are "I'm an obsessive stalker and I like it."

Is this the first Cdrama to confirm release date 3 weeks before the release ???
Nah, it's actually pretty standard with plenty of time ahead. One of the DMBJ series got announced on June 12 and released on June 13 xD

Yes, it's explained in the dialogue.
JY told BS this after he reawoke in FY's body: he forcefully tore his mantle 60k years ago so that his presence remained and he continued to look for XY, knowing that she would reappear at some point. He encountered Bai Shuo and her sister by chance and saved them cause BS's eyes looks similar to XY (but not knowing that she had XY's mantle). When Fan Yue was 15 he fell from the cliff in the Baize Clan and JY's mantle had to merge to save FY's life (i think not by JY's choice) which is why FY lost his pre-15 memories and from that point forward there was no JY bodily present until the reawakening.

So, not a happy ending then? lol
Oh it's not about the happiness of the ending. It's the final few steps towards the ending that are... Idk, that last part just requires the hobbit-style warning:

"Flash of light, searing pain, then poof, you're nothing more than a pile of ash."
On Guardians of the Dafeng Feb 13, 2025
Everyone is focusing on comedy, action scenes, or (various aspects of drama) with not enough warning that FEW LAST EPISODES OF THIS SHOW WILL BREAK YOUR HEART, SHUTTER IT INTO PIECES, REDUCE YOU TO A PUDDLE, RAISE YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE, AND MAKE YOU WANNA SCREAM

(no, but seriously, people with blood pressure issues thread carefully, it's freaking awesome but the last episodes are hell!)

Title 19th Floor
Hi may I ask does the drama have a bit of romance in it?
Quite a bit, especially in later episodes.

I enjoyed it way more than I expected. Few weaker episodes but otherwise super engaging. Definitely gonna rewatch in the future 💜
On My Marvellous Fable Aug 22, 2024
Left me with a weird impression. Unique/quirky parts are great but romance feels forced and problematic. I kept feeling as if the plot was worked on by 4 different people who didn't communicate with e/o and then just glued everything together five minutes before the submission deadline. Kept reminding me of Its OK not to be OK except the latter had way better plot and character development.
On Parallel World Aug 22, 2024
It's been a while since I loved something so much O_O. Yes to plot, yes to world building, YES to mature characters, yes to non-tropey romance. I'll be rewatching this in the future ❤️
