Super tropey and mostly fluffy, good if you want to relax (and can stomach jumping from one cliche to another with close to zero plot reasons). Wouldn't recommend it for people who can't stand power dynamics issues. Mostly we're supposed to be OK with ML actively pursuing a woman whose entire livelihood + livelihood of most her friends depends on the said ML, would be very dubious irl, depicted as super romantic and omg-why-is-she-saying-no here but it's nothing unusual for this kind of drama. I watched it knowing it's there and suspending (a lot of) judgement but all in all didn't make much of an impression plot-wise. Which is a shame cause the first episode actually looked super promising and way less like a trope roulette.

He had a good reason to cut the bonus but executed it poorly and in a manner that made everyone in the office feel like they can get heavily punished at his whim. So even if he wasn't bullying anyone on purpose, his poor management skills made it look like he was and she had every reason to rethink her life choices. And tbh there is never a situation in which considering breaking up with someone is wrong. Here we want them to be together cause that's how the story is framed for us but her reasoning is valid and shown as such, too.
The parents knew he had feelings for her since high school. When he does finally confess to her in the final episodes…
I actually liked the way that he presented the original arrangement a lot. I would have loved it if the writers abandonded the cdrama constants of 'met as kids' and 'slightly but cutely obsessed' but I guess we got that in the super refreshing 2nd leads storyline so can't complain much xD

I binged the entire thing so don't wanna spoiler you ;) but without mentioning details, I meant uncomfortable as in "wouldn't like them to be my colleagues, especially with the bonus money depending on your performance and assessment". The show is trying to downplay the power dynamics by showing that ML cares more at the beginning and wants to win FL but there is still sth off abt that. But well, all in all it's just a story xD
Oh but she's totally BSing her parents there to sell the marriage thing (and the ML knows it, that's why he's…
There is absolutely zero plot reason to believe FL has been in love with ML for so long. She talks about her feelings and reason for getting married/living together openly a lot throughout the series and the entire premise of the plot is ML-secretly-pining-for-years and getting the girl cause the other guy lost his chance due to not treasuring FL enough. She talks abt her previous feelings for the ex and I'm pretty sure the show didn't want to paint her as a two-timer.
I am glad that RJ decided to share her pregnancy with ZFG and how she doesn't want to use the pregnancy as an…
I really liked how they did that (even tho I'm not a fan of the trope), especially the way she actually took time to consider her options and everything. But not showing us the bby is just CRUEL!

I actually at some point started to feel uncomfortable about them lying and hiding, when it was clearly benefitting FL even tho they've been downplaying it. I'm rather surprised that this concept went past the censorship, they are basically cheating the system 😅
EP 3 (FML to her parents + ML)FML: "There is something that I haven’t told you. Actually I’ve had a crush…
Oh but she's totally BSing her parents there to sell the marriage thing (and the ML knows it, that's why he's shown looking kinda saddish). And if we consider what we learn abt the extent of ML... infatuation and behavior wow that's pretty scary. Worked mostly cause he's pretty and cause he hid most of that till like last episode lol.
Started for the main couple, stayed for RJ&ZFG. They stole my interest so much that last few episodes I've been fast forwarding main couple (who stayed cute and all but also repetitive and lacking major developments) just to catch glimpses of my favs and their interactions. Long live the enemies to lovers!
Don't you think it was foolish of the FL to try to break up just because of professional issues? How Yuheng treats…
No. How your SO treats people around is a pretty good measure or their character and how you'll be treated in the future. Even more so if it's about how they treat their employees/people of lower social standing. If I see my SO being a bully in their workplace, I'm withdrawing from the relationship, too.
I dont understand why do they need to keep their relationship a secret and why have an agreement regarding KPI…
Company policy. And one that actually exists in many contemporary companies (to prevent s-harassment and unfair treatment). And honestly, it makes lots of sense. Imagine learning that your boss is dating the newest employee. It's close to impossible to not at least consider the possibility of the said person getting better projects/promotion because of that. And frankly, if that becomes open knowledge, some ppl might want to get better treatment from the boss by treating their SO better. Tbh I'm into policies like that, they make work environment a bit safer for women.
I was kind of surprised by Li HongYi's substandard performance, but I think it had to do with him filming a LOT…
Omg omg omg! If not got this comment I wouldn't have realized that's not him. And I'm literally watching Blood of Youth + this series rn. THANK YOU! MH
I'm really keen on watching this, but a giant chicken when it comes to horror. Is it very scary? For reference…
Some potential jump scares in the form of "oh i entered the room and there was a body there" but not really scary-scary, just surprising-scary. I don't do (proper) horrors but had no problems with this show.
