This drama loves cliffhanger endings. Waiting for the last episode. 10 episodes to untie everything, I'm waiting to see if it can. But why is it badly rated? It's good.
The complaint I have is how unsatisfactory the ending was. It lacked the necessary closures and left some things rushly done. The only thing I liked is how the revenge was carried out and the villains' evil plans backfired and they ended up destroying themselves and the happiness they built out of selfishness, obsession, envy, and greed. That's the most satisfying revenge for the mother and daughter who were obsessed with stealing someone else's man, husband, and father and blaming everyone except themselves. I wish they made Park Yoo Kyung realize her mom's mistake and apologize to her stepmom (her highschool batch mate) and her half bro (Hwi Kyung) for always blaming them and mistreating them that pushed his father's death. It would also help Hwi Kyung from being too guilty all throughout. I like his mom and how her dementia (not the condition perse but the good effects in relation to the story) helped spill the tea which made the revenge parts more fun. I like the twin siblings plot and the twins' different personalities. Wonderful performance Yoo Ri! I like the Baek couple most especially after they resolved their issue and how helpful and accepting they were of Nayeon and the others. I like the Yang family too, they sheltered Nayeon then her baby with so much love. The fl is loved by 4 moms, 3 sisters, 2 fathers, 2 men, 1 child her baby Saebyol. I didn't like how the fl and her real dad didn't have much relationship development shown until the end. I hated how the obsessed mother and daughter got away from all their sins with that kind of rushed ending. I didn't like Tae Joon but at least he realized his mistakes like the fl's dad and repented and suffered then let go, I still couldn't forgive him but he made some character development unlike Sejin and her mom which didn't make much sense to me, still lacking. I was annoyed with Tae Joon's mom's very materialistic nature until the end, the only thing I liked is how he slapped Sejin with the truth through her words and pulled Sejin's mom's hair for slapping his son infront of her. The most slapped/hit character goes to Tae Joon. The paper shredder of the show goes to Park Yoo Kyung, the best in screaming/shouting goes to both including Sejin. The most satisfying slap scene goes to Jang Kyung Wan and Park Yoo Kyung with Y.K. tearing apart photos of Kyung Wan's daughter and granddaughter out of jealousy and got hit hard. Hahaha. I feel sad I didn't see much lovey-dovey moments between the main couple with Nayeon as herself.
It's a good review, it had points I wanted to say too about this makjang. The ending wasn't satisfying enough, it lacked some of the closures we should've seen for some characters and relationships in the story. I love the main lead actress Yuri, hats off to her performance here.
I dropped this a long time ago but I'm finding myself loving this drama now😁. I think that time I was rooting for other dramas and they overshadowed this one. I am happy I have found this drama again. I think I dropped it because I was confused before and I saw clips uploaded about the ending when I have not yet understood the story. I am leaving my comment here too and I am recommending this beautiful drama! Sometimes if you focus on the rating, you will miss a good story.
