I regret not watching this sooner, but I’m so glad I decided to watch it. For most bls i end up skipping parts because of the acting and plot, but for this one I was able to watch every single minute of it.
Though the plot disregarding the romance is a tad bit all over the place since they are trying to focus on a lot of things all at once, it doesn’t get overwhelming or complex at all, which was one of my fears starting this drama and hence why I avoided it for so long. It is in a sense your typical group work type of plots but it wasn’t bad at all.
I watched this after watching Last Twilight, and I was shocked at how good JimmySea’s acting was in that one compared to Vice Versa since this was their first series as main. However it was not as bad as people made it out to be. I liked how their acting was natural and wasn’t cringey or dramatic. It looked like they were having normal interactions without doing the most. When it came to the romantic scenes it wasn’t over the top and they didn’t need any sexy type of scenes to show that there is love. I love how you could tell the love for each other from their eyes. Their chemistry was amazing. I also loved the supporting cast too, they did great as well.
I think the big thing that I appreciate of this series is that they developed the plot and the love of the main characters by using emotions and feelings, rather than just appearance which I tend to feel is sometimes missing for Thai BLs because they go straight to the physical (appearance, body, sex) rather then the personality. I like how they really emphasized the growth of why they liked each other and not “his personality is shitty but hey he got a nice body” type of stuff. I wish that most Thai BLs focused on the emotions/personality aspects of the characters rather than focusing on 18+ types of scenes, which is why I really liked Vice Versa plot for what it is (as well as Last Twilight). This is one of the few BL's i gave a 10/10 for.
I would love to JimmySea in another BL again, playing characters with different personalities, like Sea playing a character that's cold and mysterious (cause idk if its just me but sometimes he kind of looks similar to Wang Yibo, who plays Lan Zhan in The Untamed) and Jimmy playing a character that's more naive. Idk I just don’t want them to play characters with similar personalities, since i feel that they have alot of potential in their acting.

It was a break from high school/uni and dealt with a complete different issue that I personally haven't seen before and it also takes on a pretty realistic approach (like there's no fantasy element). I also loved the acting of the mains and the supporting cast as well, it felt super natural and there was no dramatic/exaggerated/forced/cringey type of acting which I appreciated cause I be getting second hand embarrassment when some actors in most bls be doin the most with something small. But Jimmy's and Sea's acting felt very natural and very human, like i wasn't watching a drama rather a normal interaction between two people, between friends and family. It wasn't over the top and not painful to watch. The comedy scenes wasn't hella exaggerated/forced it felt natural. Hence I skipped no parts and was able to watch it without cringing. I also appreciate how there wasn't a shit ton of sexy scenes because rather than developing the plot using sexy scenes the plot was fleshed out using more of a somewhat slow progression of the growing feelings for the couple. Which I feel isn't much in Thai bls cause in most they use ALOT of sexy scenes/physical attraction, which I feel it is used to get views (I'm sorry but that's just how I feel) I don't necessarily think you need much sex scenes to show chemistry. Even with the lack of these scenes in Last Twilight the chemistry was amazing, I would say one of the best. Overall I just loved the whole drama, it felt like a breathe of fresh air and I would totally try it if I were you. I at first didn't want to watch it cause I never watched much with Jimmy and Sea as the main and the story felt like it would be sad, but I enjoyed it a lot. This is one of the few BL's i gave a 10/10 for and they just made the standards sky high. I would love to JimmySea in another BL again. They also raised the standards when it comes to the acting as well. And so I will definitely also look out for any dramas JimmySea star in and I hope they get more main roles. PS: I also love Mark!!! I think I watched him 3 or 4 dramas so far and he is AMAZING and very versatile and I hope he gets a main lead soon. Sidenote: Everything is just my opinion, if you disagree just move on. Thank you!
