I didn't know that this movie got criticized for not being upfront. I hope the criticism is not that serious because such kind of storytelling is exactly my favorite and I was hoping to see more works like this from C-movie industry.

Great review. Caught my attention because of the title.
I also happened to watch this because of Leo Wu. I haven't watched any Chinese historical dramas since I finished NIF last year and I recently came across this as one of the best works of him so I decided to give it a try. Seriously fell for his character and acting. What a promising young actor he is!
