Title Jiu Liu Overlord
Wow, sure seems like I had a wildly different experience than most everyone else watching this drama. I couldn't stop watching it once I started and whipped through it in just a few days. I loved the acting and character of the main female lead and I loved getting to see Leon as the ML and thought he did a great job. I found a lot of their interactions cute and funny.(I like petty enemies to lovers) Are there certain things that could have been done smoother or places where the writing could be a bit tighter? Yeah. I really think the plot point of her being unable to hold weapons and honestly everything with her dad was kind of a missed opportunity. But that didn't detract from how much I enjoyed the show and the characters. The second main couple was really cute throughout too. I really don't know where people get that it's boring. But also this was show I started watching while taking a break from Love in Flames of War which has been a battle for me to get through.(Despite the fact that people seem to like it a lot. Maybe something's wrong with me. lol) This show just felt like a breath of fresh air compared to contently going back and forth with liking then hating Love in Flames of War's male lead and wanting scenes to involve any dynamic except the main romance. In this show I loved both leads and their relationship. I liked the natural build up of feelings from both sides and the cute scenes we got after they fell in love. If you are on the fence about the show, give it a shot. If you don't get into it, that's fine. But you also might be like me and love it.
