I'm going to start out by saying I haven't watched this drama but I've looked through the posts to see if it was worth watching and if the issues with the novel were redressed in the drama and I'm sad to say it doesn't seem to be the case.... I saw someone question why it had bad ratings on Chinese sites and it's probably partly bc maybe ppl didn't like it but more bc of the novel.... The author of the novel copied several real life events/eSports competitions and then villainized certain characters that were clearly based on real life eSports players which recieved a lot of backlash. Another issue I was concerned with was a scene in the novel... The FL bit a player on a different team and was punished by the ML to stay outside... I'm not sure how this was portrayed in the drama but in the novel her biting that man should have been considered self defense considering he had physically restrained her and blatantly told her that there was no use waiting/looking for her teammates bc his teammates were occupying them. This can be considered a frightening experience of harassment but instead of being understood and comforted by the ML he instead punished her. Although there was a lack of communication on her part I feel like the ML's reaction was a bit extreme and unwarranted considering that biting someone is OOC for the FL and he didn't actually care to look into why. This was one of the things that turned me off from the book and I was surprised to see they kept it in the drama. I know I haven't actually watched the drama and this I can't judge whether it is worth watching or not accurately but at the same time I don't feel just based off of these two main points that the rating for it should be as high as it is.
