The ending to this drama killed me. It’s been almost two years, and I’m still upset about how it ended. It left me so empty. I don’t always need a happy ending, but this felt like I jumped off a cliff and did not hit the bottom and I’m still floating.......
It’s very similar to Itazura na Kiss and all the remakes, which I could never watch without wanting to throw my iPad across the room. But for some reason I keeping watching and wanting the next episode. Jiang Chen’s love for her is what pulls me though to each episode. The actor really does a great job with portraying his love for her. He doesn’t express or say his love, but the way he looks at her and what he does for her just melts my heart! You can see and feel that his love is unwavering. As for Xiao Xi....she is tougher and has a greater understanding of who she is than any of the It Started With A Kiss female characters. At least I thought. Overall cute!
Loved it, except for the very last scene. Why would the screenwriter do that? I was so shocked that I had to go back and read the ending of the book, just to take me back into Jin Yan’s “perfectness” ???????? There are some great additional online short stories that the author has added on. It really completes their relationship and love.
The lead actor ruined it for me. After reading the book my expectations for Han Chen are set, and unfortunately Bai White did not meet those expectations. Sure he probably is a great actor, but not what or who I expected to portray my ultamite book crush. If the two main male supporting roles where reversed -yell yeah!
