LX's dad actually really wanted to help his son. But as a policeman, he saw too many cases like this which did…
Yikes, that’s terrible. It really be the one’s closest to us that lets us down the most.

Yeah at the end of the day, it’s just a drama so we’ll never know. And while I may not be satisfied that it didn’t go the way I liked it to, I’m glad that they atleast tried to deal with the topic of depression ʅ(◞‿◟)ʃ

That’s so sad to hear. I hope that colleague was able to figure something out. I fricking hate that there’s still a stigma surrounding mental illness and I hope people can normalize seeking help for their mental health problems just like when they’d go to a dentist when their tooth’s aching. And I do understand LX’s dad but I guess, since this is fictional, I’m unsatisfied because I was hoping that both LX and even CT would be able to resolve their problems in the end or atleast it’s mentioned that they’re getting better.

I really loved this drama and all its characters. They're not one dimensional and clearly have many flaws. They felt so real that I can imagine there are people like this in real life. Even the characters that you're supposed to hate, you can't help but sympathize or understand why they're doing such things to some extent. The only person that I didn't really care for was Du Juan's bf. Nah, that guy's trash.
Though it bothers me that LX's dad didn't want him to go to the psychiatrist because it would damage his reputation and job security. Going to a psychologist or a psychiatrist doesn't immediately mean that they're insane. It frustrates me that LX could receive treatment to become better but it's swept under the rug and claimed that it's not that serious enough to go to a professional.
