Yeah, I also think the problem is more on the cinematography. GMA had one drama that had really beautiful chemistry, I think the title was I Heart Davao. Their Encantadia 2016 had better cinematography than their usual shows (but this one not by much).

If a viewer in the Philippines is not a cable subscriber but has one of those TV boxes with HDMI output, it is apparent that ABS-CBN broadcast at lower resolution, while GMA broadcasts at 720p (or at least they used to. I'm not so sure now as I don't watch much tv as I used to.)

Actually, ABS-CBN broadcasts their shows on live television in 480p while GMA broadcasts at 720p. But if we're talking about livestream, ABS-CBN also streams their shows at 720p.

I was watching the Outsider, and I thought she was Maki for a hot minute.

True. Even if they are not in the scene together, like when their characters just trying to size-up each other, I go, "wow, i hope these two get together."

And when the two characters finally have mutual respect for each other, A+.
