So do you mean you think LST is better than Princess Silver? I never watched Princess Silver but I watched LST…
PS, imho, is a big turn off. Out of so many episodes, only the last 3-4 were watchable. Chemistry between the two leads was terrible and the story line just goes round and round. It could jolly well end with 20-25 episodes if they cut short all the meaningless scenes. I watched it because of Leo Luo (who acted in Ashes of Love). His acting is amazing and they only gave him screen time in the last few eps. I would sum up PS to be 70% showing the ML's face in every situation, 20% of ML trying to play the hero and 10% of whatever is left. LST gives all its actors screen time which was what was lacking in PS. I skipped every scene with the male lead and I was left with 5-10mins of every episode to watch.
Sooo...how is it?? I've seen the Taiwanese and Japanese version so i'm hesitant to watch this....thoughts?
I gave the Taiwanese one a 7. Japanese a 8.5. Korean one deserves 9.5. There's a lot of fan service in the korean ver to make up for a simple plot which the Taiwanese version failed to do
Okay so I know this has nothing to do with the other drama I'm about to make a reference to but......anything…
Am at ep32 right now and the emotional rollercoaster is about to start. I've watched all versions of Zettai Kareshi and read the manga. Sadly the ending is never a happy one. I do hope Young Gu gets his happy ending though.. he deserves it.
Finally finished watching! Compared with Princess Silver, this drama is literally heaven. The first few episodes were boring and slow to progress but after the first few, the remaining was amazing. The climax was built up and then you see the romance, the painful deaths and the strength of loyalty. Basically, the good people have their bad sides and the evil do have their good sides as well. Like how Snow Tower upholds fairness, there was plenty of fairness within the show ie bad people die a painful death, even though sometimes the good people were sacrificed. I felt so bad for Ming He... I pitied her for loving a man she shouldn't and she loved so hard till the point whereby she gave up on herself. Recommended watch!
I can’t say the chemistry was that great between RL and RQ either :/ but I think it has to do with the actress,…
Ah yes.. the FL is a bit lacking and dim witted, but the plot and the ML makes up for it. At least I'm not skipping this. The plot thickens starting from ep 19. I'm almost finished with 21 now and enjoying it.
No, they are not related. They were couple (ie lovers or husband and wife) before Qin Man (Rong Le's actual name)…
Fu Chou's unluckiness can last him a lifetime. And yes, I skipped all of WY's scenes after ep 20. This drama took me less than a week to watch. But I just don't like his character and his acting doesn't help either. Rong Qi has the least number of scenes yet he makes the most out of it. He's my favorite
I'm only 5 episodes and was pressured by my aunt to watch this. I love Leo from Ashes of Love. My aunt says she…
If you just wanna watch Leo, you can go straight to ep 54. The whole series is just promotion for Aarif. And no, Aarif can never be Mark, they are like at least 10 miles apart lol

Lucky if it's Rong Qi. Fu Chou is good, but sometimes he had to do things he didn't want to, which hurt RL. Unlucky if it's WY, because he always had to be the masculine character in everything (I still don't like him eeks I skipped ep 53 because it was all him)
The best parts start from ep 54. Episodes 15-53 were snoozers. Loved ep 55-56 whereby there is more focus on Rong Qi and Rong Le's love story. Loved their chemistry too.
Also, I would like to give a shout out to the Empress Dowager. Her acting is amazing, and she doesn't lose out to AoL's evil empress. This drama would've been amazing if only they chose the right ML and FL as the current ML and FL lack chemistry.
I skipped through every part with the ML and I just finished episode 52. Too many twists and turns in the plot, some of which do not make sense. After episode 50 I was just watching 5-10mins of each episode. Well... I am disappointed. The role of the ML remains the same and never got be developed. The script for FL is more suited for the ML I feel. She is too hot-headed and sometimes manly. It made the male lead look feminine and sneaky in some ways... Especially how she handled the court. Plot still remains slightly unrealistic like how ML and FL are always the know-it-all and the excitement just stopped halfway. I would like to see something really bad happen for once instead of the focus of love story between MLFL, but 6 more eps are left and I highly doubt it'll happen
Why are people so annoyed with the ml??? I actually think he's a good actor and don't find him annoying at all.…
You see, acting as the good guy hero is easy. Comparing ML, Fu Chou and Leo, even though my bias is Leo, I'd say Fu Chou does the best at being the good-hearted villian. I wonder if it's the problem with the directing, because thus far, in every episode, they are just focusing on the side view of the ML. I'm on Episode 39 now. I was at ep 24 2 days ago (shows how much I skipped). Acting is not about the face, and ML seems to rely heavily on that because there's is no content in his character and his acting doesn't seem to make up for it. His chemistry with FL looks very forced as well
The actress has much better chemistry with Fu Chou and her emperor brother lol. I think the main actor just can’t…
Ashes of Love is so good I watched it twice. All the leads are very substantial in character and not rely on just looks. WY on the other hand, is a stone face. The show focuses too much on showing the side view of his face that I rather look at the dumb hilarious crown prince instead. They need a male lead who can legit act. Have you watched far? I'm skipping episodes to skip WY scenes which are plenty. This the only show I wished the ML can just die.
I binge watched the first 32 episodes as they came out in one lot and I thought it was really good. Then there…
I watched the entire show for Leo Luo, and super upset that he usually appears for 1-2minutes if he even appear at all. And majority is just the ML showing off his face. I'm only at ep 24 and I've been skipping every part with the male lead since ep 14.
I think both of WY and FC have good chemistry with RL. Only that RL spend most of her time in FC surrounding.
Ehh but i think they're shoving the male lead heroism and smug face into the audience face. Like for every episode im supposed to watch him for half hour out of 45minutes. It's getting boring and I'm only at ep 24. I got thru Ashes of Love without a hitch, and I'm just bored trying to skip half hour of every episode of Princess Silver. Majority of the male lead scenes are just him showing his smug face though
